The provocative statements made on social media about Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia's death is a sign of the times.
Shortly after news of the conservative judge's death, the Twitter "universe" lit up with over-the-top comments about a man who loyally served on the Supreme Court since his appointment by Ronald Reagan nearly 30 years ago. Keith Olbermann tweeted Scalia's death was an "...Improvement" rather than a loss for America, while activist Dan Savage tweeted he was "Dedicating the rest of this weekend's marital sodomy to the memory of Antonin Scalia," the Blaze reported.
Comments like these really come as no surprise to those who read the Scriptures. The train has left the station and is obviously running on schedule, given you believe Old and New Testament prophesies describing how things will only get worse until God's judgment falls. Those scriptures tell us "there will be a time of great rebellion against God" -- where what's right will be called wrong, and wrong, right -- because people are blind to truth. Pardon my sloppy translation here, but 2 Thessalonians says people will be so obsessed with what God calls evil, he will rub their noses in it -- giving them over to their own desires. They'll temporarily get their way, but in the end their way will get them. It's sort of like the kid who wanted to smoke a cigarette so his parents made him smoke a whole carton, only worse.
When a society gets to the point where there are no moral absolutes, it is impossible to understand the difference between right and wrong. That is why any attempt to inject a scriptural or even a moral argument into the conversation these days is a fool's errand at best.
Even with a conservative like Justice Scalia on the Supreme Court, recent decisions show us the court has long since abandoned scriptural precepts and base opinions on the unfounded idea that the Constitution is a living document worthy of spinning to suit the changing times. Last summer, the 5-4 majority decision legalized gay marriage although Chief Justice John Roberts, Justice Clarence Thomas and Justice Antonin Scalia argued that same-sex marriage is not endorsed by the Constitution. In his dissenting opinion, Scalia wrote the majority's opinion lacked "even a thin veneer of law."
Americans are polarized. Everything turns political when moral issues, which shouldn't be decided in the ballot box in the first place, get overturned by judicial decision. Scalia's death gives reason for pause, given his death could allow the Supreme Court wiggle room to make some very big decisions which could radically change America.
Should that happen, what was once moving in the slow lane will have switched to the fast track. Some on social media ask if Scalia's death is part of "God's judgment on America." While only God can answer that question, students of history and Bible prophecy understand that God repeatedly raised up leaders to judge his people for abandoning him. 2 Chronicles 2:14 does promise, though: "If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land."
Whatever the case, one thing's for sure: God has zero obligation to bless any nation that fails to bless him. While I am not a theologian, I'd dare say it might be time to strap on our seatbelts as we pray, folks. We might be in for a wild ride.
Where is the security video footage?
Superstorm Sandy hitting when it did and now this.
He must be paving the way for Armageddon.
Let's ask America, do they want a country with freedoms or do they want Hillary as the next President - let's take a vote in November. It's up to us all to ensure the stakes are understood.
Keith Olbermann and Dan Savage are some of the worst scum imaginable.
People KNOW the truth!!! The âSupremeâ Court does not make laws, it simply offers opinions on whether or not a âlawâ meets Constitutional muster. If the law violates the Constitution, then the law is remanded back to the Legislative branch so that the law can be re-written to fall in line with the Constitution. This is how our government is supposed to create laws.
Bear in mind that offering an âopinionâ does not change the law. They just tell us that it does and we believe their lies. We then repeat their lies and teach them to others. The lies soon become âtruthâ, although it is not The Truth. Iâll say it again. Courts do not make laws. Courts only offer opinions. Opinions can change when judges change. The law cannot be changed by a âjudge.â If that were the case, our âlawsâ would be as constantly changing as the âjudgesâ are.
If âjudgesâ ruled that sodomy was illegal in 1986, how did sodomy become âlegalâ today? Did the law change, or did the âopinionsâ of the âjudgesâ change?
Who cares what the Supreme Court says? They are merely rendering their âopinionâ. The SCOTUS cannot make, change or strike down ANY law. Only Congress can do so!
KNOW the law!!!
The Founders and Colonists were wise enough to recognize they were suffering the tyranny of the Crown because of their collective sins as a people in a place where their forbears intended the Christian religion to dictate the character of their communities.
Form the late 1750s until the mid-1770’s the pulpits in the Colonies were afire with the preaching of repentance and supplication for relief from the tyranny they understood they brought upon themselves. Pastors like Mayhew spelled out the definitions of tyranny and explained why they were suffering it.
Sadly, we are fools today without any wisdom because not even the churches are willing to discuss the subject of personal and national repentance.
So if biblical typology is consistent with a nation of people who consider themselves ‘of the Lord’, then our utter destruction and enslavement of the remnant of this people seems to be our future.
Because God is the same yesterday, today and tomorrow - DESPITE the Jesus Americans have created to match their prosperity worldview.
Yup! Mr.Savage tried to infect Gary Bauer with the flu (he succeeded with one of Gary Bauer’s co workers).
Exactly.
I do have a very bad feeling of what kind of situation we will be in by December. I think we might see utter chaos on a world wide scale. My gut feeling tells me some bad things are going to be happening this year.
It’s well past time for Christians to step up take control of the “7 mountains” of our culture and run them in accordance with God’s Law.

He doesn't have to pass His judgement on the living - we condemn our own selves by aiding and abetting the Obamas and Hillarys of the world while on our quest for a candidate that would make Christ look like a sinner.
Masterful.
Dan Savage is capable of infecting people with things far worse than the flu.
Does no one remember that? Gary Bauer was running for President and stated something about men having sex with men that Dan Savage did not like. Dan Savage had a severe flu at the time and roused himself from his sickbed and went to Gary Bauer’s headquarters and licked everything he could: cups, pencils, doorknobs — even typewriter keyboards. It is hard to spread a virus that way so Gary Bauer did not get sick, but one of his staffers did and quite severely. She talked about suing Dan Savage. Mr. Savage’s action promotes the stereotypes that one associates regarding men who have sex with men.
2016 is the 40th year of legalized child sacrifice in Israel. World history revolves around the nation that God chose to use as His platform to reveal who He was, is, and is to come.
There are only 6 nations where pre-born genocide is illegal. That is the most important issue of the time. Why?
“However, the LORD did not turn from the fierceness of His great wrath with which His anger burned against Judah, because of all the provocations with which Manasseh had provoked Him. And the LORD said, “I will remove Judah also from My sight, as I have removed Israel. And I will cast off Jerusalem, this city which I have chosen, and the temple (house) of which I said, ‘My name shall be there.’”
“Surely at the command (mouth) of the LORD it came upon Judah, to remove them from His sight because of the sins of Manasseh, according to all that he had done, and also for the innocent blood which he shed, for he filled Jerusalem with innocent blood; AND THE LORD WOULD NOT FORGIVE.”
