How much of what he had was illegal to own?

That’s the bottom line for me.

If none of it is illegal to own, then this guy should have a compelling case against the authorities.

Who are the real gun nuts here? The guy exercising his rights, or the ones obsessed with him.

A well regulated militia, being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed.

How many of this Great Republic's >20,000 "gun laws" are Constitutional to enact?

That's the bottom line for me.

I don't know about NY but in MA, to have those firearms loaded and not secured is against the law. But, I imagine NY is far stricter than that.

So he is probably being charged along those lines. Unless any of the firearms prove to be stolen and not obtained according to NY's Draconian gun laws.
