Perhaps you remember the 90's though a golden haze.

In the 1990s, we objected to Bill "Slick Willy" Clinton, the disgraced, impeached, rapist, traitor and understood that his low character matched his low governing policies.

Objected?

Really?

Oh yeah you fussed but actually did nothing. And his poll numbers went up and up.

And Newt caught flack after the impeachment started and it was because the democrats were pushing it. Prior no one cared that he cheated.

Yes, the character displayed by both Republicans and democrats in the 90's had to be seen to be believed.

Does character still matter?

As much as it ever did.

Perhaps you learned about the 1990s from your "social studies" teacher.

Me: Does character still matter?
Thee: As much as it ever did.

Perhaps character never mattered to you. Conservatives have always had a different view of things.

Oddly enough, "charactermatters" was once a keyword on this forum. Oddly enough, "character_matters" was once a screen-name on this forum. It's kinda funny, really.
