In Saturday night’s debate, Ted Cruz took Donald Trump’s longstanding… and current… support for Planned Parenthood, hung it around Trump’s neck, set it on fire (metaphorically) and chased Trump through the streets. It was a horrific example of a blustering bully called out on his own record and being made to own it. If you haven’t seen it, you owe it to yourself to check it out:
Now Cruz has followed this up with an attack directly linking Trump to Planned Parenthood and the Center for Medical Progress investigative videos.

REPORTER: In between sips of wine and bite of salad a Planned Parenthood doctor discusses getting money for tissue from aborted fetuses.
MEGYN KELLY cLIP: Harvesting the organs of aborted fetuses for money…
VO: Planned Parenthood treat the unborn like another form of currency and yet some politicians still defend them.
DONALD TRUMP: Planned Parenthood serves a good function.
SEAN HANNITY CLIP: With the debt we have should we even give them a penny?
DONALD TRUMP: We have to look at the positive.
VO: Donald Trump is just plain wrong
Trump can’t run from this. He’s trying to bluster his way through it with the “women’s health” bullsh** but 86% of Planned Parenthood’s revenue comes directly from elective abortions. Abortions on demand. Abortions with no underlying medical reason other than inconvenience.

Starting the ad with newscasts on the videos gives the accusations a more authentic, trusting feel and grabs the viewers' attention more than using a narrator. It also builds the case against Planned Parenthood before linking Mr. Trump to it, while subtly pointing to a similarity with Mrs. Clinton, a pariah to many South Carolina Republican voters. But perhaps most effectively, the ad highlights Mr. Trump's position on a hot-button social issue that he has taken as a candidate, and not from his past, to attack him.

Trump did no such thing. Another ridiculous Cruz lie. But more importantly, this ad shows how Cruz is totally unelectable. Cruz never prevails on any issue, because Democrats see him from a mile away and portray him as a zealot to even his own Republicans. But Trump is smart...he know millions of American women go to PP for dozens of services, usually cheap or for free. My own sister went to one against my wishes, and got terrific care, for pennies, for an ovarian cyst (she has 5 kids and never had an abortion). Trump knows you can’t just demonize the entire organization. but if you admit PP does some very good things, but “Let’s JUST defund the bad stuff” you will have an instant coalition to do just that. Of course the secret is that PP cannot financially survive without that “bad stuff.” So in the end they collapse. But Cruz won’t get a SINGLE penny cut, and his ham-fisted, preacher act won;t get him within 5% of Hillary in November.

Yes, Trump is quite accomplished in politics: helping democrats get elected to pass Obamacare and doing the crony capitalist thing.

Cruz was campaigning in Iowa. He’s determined to have a greater impact by becoming President and naming the next 2-4 justices to the SCOTUS.
