Poll: Trump Leads S.C., and His Supporters Aren’t Going Anywhere (Trump +16)
Free Times ^ | 2/15/2016 | Eva Moore

Donald J. Trump continues to lead the Republican primary field in South Carolina. He’s also the candidate the highest number of voters would want to be stuck in an elevator with.

Ben Carson, meanwhile, is widely considered a good person to loan your car to, even among supporters of other candidates.

An automated telephone poll of 416 voters conducted exclusively for Free Times by Crantford Research attempts to tease out some key electoral forces as the state heads into its Feb. 20 GOP primary. It was the first poll conducted since the Feb. 13 GOP debate in Greenville.

Asked who they plan to vote for, 32 percent of respondents in our poll chose Trump. Ted Cruz was at 16 percent, Marco Rubio at 13 percent, Jeb Bush at 12 percent, John Kasich at 9 percent, and Ben Carson at 4 percent. Fourteen percent were undecided.

Our results confirm other polls that show Trump with a double-digit lead.

Crantford Research conducted the Free Times South Carolina GOP Presidential Preference Survey on Feb. 14, 2016. The survey was conducted by telephone using an automatic dialing and phone pad response data collection method. The margin of error for the results of the survey is +/- 4.8 percent.

Yes, Cruz really won my trust with his votes for the Corker bill and for cloture on TPA. His years long desire to expand H1B visas 5x was just a bonus. Cruz is not much different than other professional politicians, they all dance with the donors who brought them.

Trump has almost half of the American voters support...and we are behind him 100%...we are in front of him, to the side of him, and in back on him....all the way to the Oval Office!!!

GO.TRUMP.GO!!!
********************************************************

Ahh... 33% of the Republican PRIMARY voters equal “almost half of the American voters”? Common Core math, I’m guessing. Unfortunately, up until now Trump loses to Hillary in almost all national polls that have been conducted.

I was telling CrazyCatLady on another thread that the cultists need to knock off mocking evangelicals if they want their vote should DT win, but I doubt that will ever sink in with them.

Huffington lists two new polls today.

PPP Trump +17 Cruz & Rubio tied for 2nd.
Gravis Trump +14 Cruz in second, Rubio in 3rd.

Trump is up 10 from the last PPP poll and up 8 from the last Gravis poll.

If Trump wins and wins with 35%, I believe he will pick up 29 delegates that go to the winner, and at least 35% of the remaining 21 that are allocated proportionally. So I see Trump winning 36+ delegates out of 50 in S.C.

This election in a nutshell was formed from the last election where the politicians absolutely told us they would go and rip apart everything the bastard in the white hut has done.
Well? Did the POLITICIANS LIE TO US?

So along comes Trump, the bombastic tell it like it is and never back down candidate. Saying everything we have been waiting to hear without caution.

Who are we going to believe? The lying shyster politicians who have bent us over the rails at every chance they get after each election where they promised everything everywhere everytime? Or are we going to vote a bombastic no fear successful businessman who is not afraid of his shadow?

I will take the later thank you, have had enough of the former.

His own words. Trump said today his deal with the GOP was in breach.

Oh the old 'I'll lie by telling only half of the truth' approach.

Not even a good try, you need to hone that skill if you're going to keep using it.

Trump also said that left him free to do what was needed.

“Trump also said that left him free to do what was needed.”

You have no clue what Trump has in mind. None whatsoever. Give it up.

Nobody. Nobody wins at all. We all lose.

If Trump is the nominee, I won’t stay home, but I’ll be ashamed because I’ll have to vote against Sanders or Clinton.

Trump is not the best we can do.

Your concerns are valid; I’m very much for Trump and I think about them myself.

Having said that, I still think that he’s the best choice. First, because of the illegal immigrant invasion. If we lose on that, we lose on everything, and he’s the only one who seems to have the will and the oomph to do anything about it.

Second, because the political class in this nation thinks of themselves as our would-be tyrants, and the donor class has bought and sold them, but they have not bought Trump as far as I can tell. Therefore, the less-than-savory parts of Trump’s political beliefs can be changed into something better; he has shown himself open to such, just as he changed to a pro-life stance 5 years ago. Whereas the other candidates, not so much, because they are controlled and commanded by the donors.

It’s possible to convert someone who doesn’t get paid to think a certain way. It’s less possible to convert someone who gets paid to think like that.

I hope that made sense.

That excuses your lie about Trump?

Come on, as I pointed out before, that’s not even a good try.

Think before you post, surely you can come up with something better.

Hillary will not be the candidate for the democrats as she will be indicted. This will demoralize the dems even more. When push comes to shove, they will not show up at the polls.

I don’t know about my fellow Trumpanzees, but perhaps when the hand of reconciliation is stretched out, and we aren’t referred to as cultists, dupes, chumps, or are told that we’re going to Hell or are outright demonic for not supporting Cruz, I, for one, might be more willing to play nice.

Maybe he’s not, but Jesus isn’t running, and Jesus will return to be king over all creation, not just America anyways.

For the time being, we need to work with what and who we have.

I think that Carson might eventually be good Presidential material, but he needs to temper that compassion with decisiveness and a certain amount of social instinct.

Maybe in 4-8 years?

I am not a trump fan at all.. however, you have to ask yourself, “ If I owned a company, and needed to hire a turn around guy to re align the entire system, who would I hire?” I wouldnt invite Trump over for a BBQ or hang out at my house, however, I may hire him to do a job I Need done and one of the skill he possesses that other candidates do not possess is the ability to face conflict. Politicians by their nature crave acceptance... that is why they run for office. They were the same people that ran for ASB president in school. They must be liked. Trump has no problem telling people to F off. That is actually a skill one needs at this point in time in our country. Again I may not like him personally but I like his ability to be impervious to fear of conflict.
And looking at the last 15 years, and the next 20 we need someone with that skill.

He should have done a stint as governor or congress.
POTUS is too big a jump for a first time politician.
Just my 2 cents.

One problem with Trump is we (as in, all of us) have NO IDEA what we have with Trump.

Say what you will about Obama, but I can rely on him to be faithful to his liberalism more than I can rely on Trump’s faithfulness to anything.

That’s what scares me about Trump. I don’t believe he has any adherence to anything; except maybe himself, but even that’s up for negotiation.
