One America News Network and Gravis Marketing, a nonpartisan research firm, conducted a random survey of 1,788 registered, likely voters in South Carolina. The poll has a margin of error of ± 2% at the 95% confidence level (± 3% for the 1,281 Republicans and ± 4% for the 507 Democrats). The poll was conducted from February 11th to February 13th. The total may not round to 100% because of rounding. The polls were conducted using automated telephone calls and web panels of cell phone users. The results are weighted by relevant voting demographics. The poll was conducted for One America News Network.

Right in line with the other polls. The internal Jeb poll looks to be a total joke. However that did not stop Rush from using it.

This is more in line with what I would expect. 14 point gap. Not 22 like the CBS poll, and not 2 like the Jeb! internal.

I actually look for the polls to narrow further, and then I expect Trump to outperform the polls by 5 or so, like he did in NH.

The fact is that the GOP voters are starting to coalesce around Trump as the guy who can win a general election and be the best agent of change in the Whitehouse. It is what it is. Ted still has his senate seat to go back to.

Those are hypotheticals and do not factor in an actual campaign. Congress has a 12% approval rating and yet 95% of incumbents get reelected.

Pastor Ted would be lucky to win 10 states in a general election with a SCOTUS seat on the line and deep down you know that. But you’d rather lose and “keep your principles”.

If I remember correctly, you didn't believe the poll that showed Trump ahead of Cruz by about 5% in Iowa, because you knew the people of Iowa, having lived there so long. I gave your opinion considerable weight without expecting that you had spoken personally with hundreds of thousands of voters.

I will say that South Carolina is bigger, more diverse and politically nastier than Iowa. A good ground game (see my link) is crucial in any state.

All head to head polls do not show Cruz beating Clinton better than Trump. In fact I dont’ think any of them do.

Cruz can’t even beat Trump in a head to head poll. He is losing every state by large margins. Lets just be honest about it.
