If I remember correctly, you didn't believe the poll that showed Trump ahead of Cruz by about 5% in Iowa, because you knew the people of Iowa, having lived there so long. I gave your opinion considerable weight without expecting that you had spoken personally with hundreds of thousands of voters.
I will say that South Carolina is bigger, more diverse and politically nastier than Iowa. A good ground game (see my link) is crucial in any state.
