Donald Trump Floats Idea of a Third-Party Run Again
ABC News ^ | Feb 15, 2016 | BRAD MIELKE

At a town hall today in Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, Donald Trump floated the idea -- without explicitly threatening to do so -- that he may run as an independent candidate.

Trump attacked the Republican National Committee, saying it "better get its act together" and it "does a terrible job." Trump said he believes the RNC treated him unfairly.

Trump also went off on the crowd that booed him during Saturday night's GOP debate in South Carolina: "Look at it, that was a wealthy room."

"The whole room was made of special interests and donors, which is a disgrace from the RNC," Trump said. "The RNC better get its act together because, you know, I signed a pledge. The pledge isn’t being honored by the RNC."

Trump signed an RNC pledge in September, agreeing not to run a third-party candidacy and to support the eventual Republican nominee.

"I signed a pledge, but it’s a double-edged pledge. As far as I’m concerned, they’re in default on their pledge," Trump said of the RNC.

Trump also spent several minutes hitting Sen. Ted Cruz on dirty campaign tactics, calling him the most dishonest guy in politics he’s ever met.

He’s criticized Cruz “holding up the Bible,” and says he’s beating Cruz when it comes to evangelical voters.

I don’t think it is “WE” who are haranguing Trump on this post. The paid sleazebags are out in force today to discredit him. The two the Dems are most afraid of are Trump and Cruz. Too bad those two can’t bury the hatchet and be a team...they’d be unbeatable.

Was there ever one signed by the GOP?

“Then he in all his vaunted awesomeness should suck it up and overcome it “

Exactly. As if the debates weren’t stacked against Cruz for months when he couldn’t get a relevant question to save his life.

And if Trump thinks the general election debates won’t be stacked against the Republican nominee, worse than anything we’ve seen in the primary, he’s going to be in for a hell of a surprise if he makes it that far.

I’m not telling myself anything - truth is truth - but, you can’t handle the truth. Sounds like you talk to yourself, hmmm, maybe you should join Cruz and Beck in a padded room.

He donated to Democrats repeatedly. His answer is, ‘I had to in order to run my business’.

A business to which he shall return once all of this is over. He shall not burn any bridges that will make his return to his business difficult.

-— We need to know whether or not Cruz is eligible. -—

Trump is considering Cruz for VP, so he must be eligible.

“donor class and their ownership of establishment candidates.”

So now the Trumpsters are against Citizens United - arguably the most conservative decision of the Supreme Court in decades. To participate in our democracy, you have to be able to influence. And to influence you pay up.

Trump has chosen not to take my money and therefore he can’t whine when I boo the hell out of him if/when I see him in public.

It’s always been all about him, but try and tell the Trumpophiles that. None so blind as those who refuse to see. -------------------------------------------

The GOPe must be destroyed. If it takes a 3rd party run, then so be it. Rinse Penis should resign. Worthless POS.

Naw, he’s just doing what a a smart person does when someone breaks their pledge. He calls them out on it. Besides, he doesn’t NEED to go independent. He’s kicking the GOPe’s ass right now by “a lot”.

Bwhahahahaha. Just deserts for the Trumpettes who don’t realize he only cares about himself!

He’ll split the vote and Hillary will win! Like I’ve been saying: this guy doesn’t care about anyone but Trump, Trump, Trump.

"Access to the DC Trough is obviously much more important than the future of their own Party or country." (from Breitbart.com)

This perfectly describes the candidates accepting tens of millions in donations buying influence.

Mr. Clinton, who is often typically solicitous of whomever he is speaking to, as suggesting to the candidate-to-be that he was “striking a chord” with the Republican base.<<

the same way H. Ross Perot did....He got me elected you know....and if Hillary is elected we’d be forever grateful..it would be a good “deal” all around

Right now, Rafael Cruz would have a better chance of riding a unicycle while juggling flaming chainsaws as he does becoming Trumps VP.
