CNN announced Saturday that it will host back-to-back Republican town hall events in South Carolina on Wednesday and Thursday nights at 8 p.m. ET.
Over the course of two nights, all six of the remaining GOP presidential candidates will have the opportunity to answer questions from Palmetto State voters, who go to the polls on Saturday, February 20, for the Republican Party primary.
CNN's Anderson Cooper will moderate both events.
Ben Carson, Ted Cruz and Marco Rubio will gather in Greenville for Wednesday night's prime-time broadcast. On Thursday, Donald Trump, Jeb Bush and John Kasich will appear in Columbia.
The events will air live on CNN, CNN International and CNN en Espanol and be streamed live online on CNNGo.

CNN’s last chance to derail any decent candidate’s standing in SC.
CNN/Cooper moderating...
What does Candy Crowley and Michael Moore have a date?
I think MSNBC is hosting a Dem. Townhall from Vegas on Thurs. night also.
Very clever of CNN to pit Cruz against Rubio Wednesday night. Adding Trump instead of Carson would have made it a real cage fight. Trump, with Bush and Kasich, is no contest...
When do Levin and Limbaugh get to host a Democratic debate? Mark Steyn and Michelle Malkin could be color commentators.
Enough of these WWE events.
It appears that the GOPe will keep trying to knock Trump and Cruz out of the lead by scheduling an ever increasing number of debates.
Their hope is Bush and Kasich can damage Trump and that Cruz will be damaged by Rubio and Carson
The GOPe makes me sick.
It's done, I'd guess, for ratings. If they had Trump, Cruz and Rubio in the 1st town hall, viewership for the 2nd town hall with Carson, Bush, and Katich would be a fizzle.
Should’ve been handled like the undercard debate with Bush, Kasich and Carson in the first one and Rubio, Cruz and Trump in the second one. The people in the second one have an advantage since no one in the first one can respond to their criticisms, so the top tier candidates should’ve been in the second one.
to the Cruz and Trump people.. ignore the audiences and stick with your guys until they win or drop out,, the GOPe and the media are working together because they see what’s coming
I don't trust this format as run by any of the networks or the RNC.
Agree. I don’t trust Cooper. I would hope the questions are vetted by the candidates as well. Sick of the popups.
There was a good townhall even last election with Gingrich and Cain, sponsored by one of the Texas area Tea Parties, although I can’t remember exactly which one. Much more depth, discussion and collegial atmosphere, something sorely missing..
I would rather see Trump have another rally.
Enough of these liberal media cagefests.
Weird combination. However, I think what they are doing is putting together the three liberals (Trump, Bush and Kasich) and the three conservatives (Cruz, Rubio and Carson) so that there can be a bit of a shakedown there. It actually sounds kind of interesting.
Based on comments on FR, now that Trump has shown himself to be a pro-Planned Parenthood, anti-Iraq war truther and a liberal Democrat in Republican clothing, Cooper should be tossing him softballs all night.
Levin and Limbaugh could hold a town hall any time they feel like it. You could hold a town hall. The problem is that those town halls and debates cost a lot of money to set up and apparently Levin, Limbaugh, etc., don't feel it's worth it or can't be bothered. That's why we get stuck with people like Anderson Cooper.
Good post. Rush and Levin are radio entertainers who want to keep their brand to themselves
This link shows all the rallies and press conference that are scheduled for Trump in S.C. They start today.

The goal isn’t to promote the Republican candidates. The goal is to get them into the bloodbath that was the Saturday night debate.
