Trump Has Huge Lead Over Cruz in Two SC Polls
by Cathy Burke Donald Trump has a commanding lead in the GOP presidential primary field in South Carolina in two new polls – including one in which the real estate billionaire has more than double the support of his nearest rival, Texas Sen. Ted Cruz.
The surveys,
the South Carolina House Republican Caucus, and the
Opinion Savvy Poll, come just eight days ahead of the Palmetto State's Feb. 20 primary.
Here's the breakdown in the South Carolina House Republican Caucus survey:
- Trump: 34.5 percent
- Cruz: 15.5 percent
- Florida Gov. Jeb Bush: 13 percent
- Florida Sen. Marco Rubio: 12.5 percent
- Ohio Gov. John Kasich: 8.5 percent
- Retired neurosurgeon Ben Carson: 5 percent
- Undecided: 11 percent
Trump beats the competition among conservatives, moderates, libertarians, independent and across age groups – and even edges out Cruz with tea party Republicans, 37 percent to 36 percent.
The results were posted
by The Hill.
In the Opinion Savvy survey, the results show:

That was then, this is now...
More like “Lose With Cruz!”

So in other words you’re a populist herd animal who has no ability to articulate the principles of Conservatism?
Try harder.

Trump is a loose cannon. He talks a good story, but he supports Common Core, a revamped Obamacare, eminent domaine, ethanol and abortion.
I can’t support that. Even to “get along”.

I understand conservatism. The Liberty Causcus was deemed neither conservative nor influential enough for the purpose, so a smaller number of ‘’’true conservatives’’’ formed the Freedom Caucus. So if there are any conservatives in the House, that’s where you’d expect to find them.
Iow, selling us down the river for ‘party unity’ with Ryan.
You’re the one who doesn’t get it.
And you never will.

Then you should be able to enumerate the ideological principles that are consistent with conservatism.
But evidently you can’t.

Then vote for Cruz and lose. It’s your right to be wrong.

One more thing. You can hunch over your little keyboard all day and all night, tapping out simply stellar definitions of conservatism. You can do that for weeks or even mos on end. But so long as the bottom line is, Speaker of the House, Paul Ryan, your high flying definitions aren’t worth a handful of dust.

What are the conservative principles (that you can’t articulate) that are involved in the scenario describe in Romans chapter 1; and is your “caucus” a conservative thing or a created thing in that context?

When he wins (I think he will be the nominee), I don’t think even Donald Trump knows what he will say or do. Just hang on! He’s a good salesman.

Then you should be able to enumerate the ideological principles that are consistent with conservatism.Do your own research, don't expect others to do your homework for you. Is that how you got through school? That's the lazy liberal way. Is that what you are?

I thought Trump was finished after his profane term for a vagina comment about Cruz?
[He's already finished (in an eternal sense) unless he repents]:
Therefore put to death your members which are on the earth: fornication, uncleanness, passion, evil desire, and covetousness, which is idolatry. Because of these things the wrath of God is coming upon the sons of disobedience, in which you yourselves once walked when you lived in them. But now you yourselves are to put off all these: anger, wrath, malice, blasphemy, filthy language out of your mouth. (Colossians 3:5-8)

“I think they have the makings of a two man ticket if theyâd just stop the bickering.”
I thought so at one time, but Cruz has burned his bridges with Trump m I would think. Although in an interview a few days ago, Trump was pretty flattering toward Cruz.

Can I ask this question without being flamed? What conservative ideals has Trump given more than just lip service to during his life? I really want to know. I don’t have a candidate since I dropped Cruz like a hot rock. Can someone point me the right direction? I am a social and economic conservative voter looking for a candidate and I don’t like what I see across the board.

South Carolina Ping
Attention SC FReepers: Over the next two weeks or so there will be a zillion articles about the SC Primary on Saturday, February 20, 2016. I plan, for ping purposes, to ignore most of these articles. I will ping you to an article that has unusual news (like Yeb leading Trump in a poll :).
