Donald Trump remains the top choice among S.C. Republicans in the first poll released in the state since voting in the 2016 presidential race began this month.
The New York billionaire received 36 percent of support, well ahead of U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz of Texas, who has backing to 20 percent of likely Republican primary voters in the poll from Opinion Savvy.
The margin between Trump and Cruz was similar to the past four S.C. polls taken since mid-December. He leads among voters identifying themselves as evangelicals, moderates and very conservative...

You are comparing the polls in a caucus to an actual primary vote!!! Polls in New Hampshire were quite accurate!!!
Very nice to see someone honest and not constantly bickering!!! BRAVO!!!!
I’m sure the folks in SC will take their lead from Yankee NH.
Just you watch! I’m Rebel born, rebel bred, and when I die, I’ll be rebel dead! Go Trump!
I would VERY GLADLY vote Cruz if he is the nominee, I just do not think he can win the general our country has gone to far to the dark side!!! If We don’t fix our border situation and education system the nation is DONE!!!!
It’s partially a matter of how many people are cutting their land line phones. The great thing is we’ll see soon enough. The polls miss called our gubernatorial election in KY by 14%
It’s your dignity devil dog. FReegards!
The polls were spot on in NH. It’s harder to accurately poll a caucus like Iowa. Easier to poll primaries, notwithstanding built in biases.
Time for Limbaugh to retire. He sees his influence dying as it should. He is friends with W who got us in this mess. Time for new blood. We need new leaders all around

“Trump fans: Let the gloating begin....”
Not gloating. We all love Ted. It’s simply a matter of who we think can win a general in country slipping into socialist tyranny. Cruz is not popular with the “47%” and never will be. But Cruz would make an excellent and effective Supreme Court Justice and thus would be a forceful advocate for Constitutional Conservatism for decades.
Look at what Sanders and Clinton are saying. Look at their crowds of cheering Eloi clamoring for their own destruction. We MUST win in November and we MUST close the borders and bring our jobs back. We must. Or America is done.
My son works in Charleston... He just texted me “SC is Trump’s” Trump is a rebel against the establishment. Always has been. He uses it to his advantage, but he hates it. Cruz on the other hand only became “anti-establishment’ about 4 years ago... to fool the Tea Party, etc... He is a ‘constitutionalist’, but he’s establishment, not conservative.. for amnesty, TPP, etc... don’t be fooled.
People give 1st preference then change st the last minute. We’ll see, I can’t wait. The best outcome is to win and beat the polls.
I wouldn’t try to change your mind. You seem determined and focused on your objective. Just keep you eyes and ears open.
The tribe has spoken. :-)
And pray.
I expect the race,to tighten after the debate. My prediction, baring a major screwup like Rubio experienced is:
Trump 32
Cruz. 26
Rubio 19
KAsich 11
Bush. 10
This would be the kiss of death to Bush. W visiting may help and it is possible he could have a better debate than Kasich. In either case it will determine who is 4th or 5th not 1, 2 or 3.
LOL and the tune is “Dixie”. FReegards.
This would be the kiss of death to Bush.
