Now that Donald Trump has won the New Hampshire primary and proved himself as a legitimate threat to win the Republican nomination, it's time to take a serious look at his policy proposals. When it comes to health care, Trump hasn't had much to say of substance, but the policy pronouncements we have gotten from him are a mix of socialism and incoherence.

While Trumps heart is in the right place, his supporters need to get constitutionally low-information Trump up to speed on the federal governments constitutionally limited powers. And regulating, taxing and spending for INTRAstate healthcare purpose is not one of those limited powers.
Dear Kitty,
Loyalty is fine when it is deserved, but you are self-mislead in your blind allegiance to a man who postures for the moment and says whatever strikes his comb-over hard enough. Stick with him and help usher in the great rein of the first true American tyrant, as he will make 0bama’s lawlessness look inept.
He will attempt to govern in the same style as he ran his business, but the trouble with that is government is not a business and it will not work, forcing him to become more and more autocratic.
I think what everyone dislikes about Trumpeters is that none seem to be able to be civil, preferring personal attacks and innuendo. Many of them seem firmly committed to stifling any form of dissent which is not what FR or the USA is about - at least not yet.
The Washington Examiner badly have TDS butt hurt.
Dismissing him won’t gain you anything.
Listen to his speeches. Learn some things.
I heard all I need to hear, One - and he sounds like the average historical tyrant in waiting. Stop with the ‘learn things’ bit already. You sound silly.
I do not dismiss tyrants lightly - DJT will make 0bama’s lawlessness look inept.
This is a classic view of fanaticism. I mean hard core messiah worship, look at the replies, it really is truly fascinating, frightening, but fascinating!
You are ASSUMING how Trump will run the country, I am looking at how he has raised his children and I say you are WRONG!!!! his children are a mirror of the man they have over his lifetime raised those kids VERY conservatively!!!! I believe he WILL seal the border and my conservative views WON’T mean a damn thing without that DAMN WALL!!!! We ALL will NEVER see another conservative POTUS with our borders wide open!!!! To me NOTHING and I mean NOTHING could be worse than Obama I know Trump LOVES this country and for me right now that is enough!!!
Honestly, you folks now have sunk to this bitter realization that Ted isn’t going anywhere, so the end of the world is here.
If you’ve listened to Trump and can’t find anything to be happy about, it a real shame.
Almost everything said by Cruz fanatics about Trump’s position on healthcare are distortions taken out of context. Over the years I have made many comments about healthcare that could be taken out of context, and twisted.
We have a friend from England. Her husband died from a heart condition which would have been treated even on a street person in two days over here. He had to wait for nearly two years and died just a month before he was due to have the procedure performed.
Despite both being retired they had plenty of money; they could have come here or gone to Thailand, Mexico, or another country where they do lot of medical procedures on foreign visitors and he would still be alive. The English are literally letting their older people die and they are being replaced by young Muslim men. This is not by accident this is government policy. That is what happens when you let the government take over healthcare. Our friend was a veteran who fought for his country and his country chose to let him die while spending precious resources which could have helped him on programs for young Muslim men.
+1
“Furthermore, Trump throws around the term “competitive bidding” to make it sound like he knows what he’s talking about, but in reality Medicare already does use “competitive bidding” in the prescription drug program.”
Author is an idiot.
Medicare is forbidden by law to negotiate prices with pharma.
I could careless about Cruz or any of the others - they are all creatures of the MSN.
There’s lots to be happy about - like still breathing, still waking up in the morning, etc - politics is a lump of coal best left unpolished.
Right - I’ve see DJTs before and it never ends well - so no, it is not an ASSUMPTION.
And then he will WALK on WATER while HEALING the MASSES - ad nauseum.
Emergency care must be provided to anyone regardless of their ability to pay.
And if you listen to him long enough, he will say absolutely everything. So, what you say is true. But not for the reason you think it is.
Health Savings Accounts realistically are applicable to only a small proportion of the population, particularly when you consider the REAL i.e. including discouraged workers unemployment rate. Not enough workers could afford an HSA, who don’t already have good health insurance, to make this any kind of a significant proposal at all. Plus it comes across as Republicans voting themselves benefits.
Amazing how Trump fans hear ever word he says... that they like... and don’t hear anything else he says.
Trump is wise to NOT tell how his system will work—Why? What must be done will not be popular with all. One group or another will be “offended”—in order to fix the mess. Trumpcare will not be perfect —but it will be solvent and solve the problem.

Because we have to pass it to find out what’s in it.
