Heidi Cruz said Wednesday that her husband, Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX), was showing America "the face of the God that we serve" through his faith-based Republican presidential campaign.

In general, yes.

It’s possible to see it happen, when one's desires become united enough with the desires of the Lord.

But the moment we take a feather in our cap for it, it falls flat.

Oh my, to me that is the stuff that true saints are made of ... I have seen it with some of the older ladies in my church... they are just so not there ... I mean when you look at or watch them they are just like watching Christ in the way they act, talk, the patience and wisdom they have. There is no ego, no human identity, everything inside has just been transformed.

However, to be fair, Trump only wants America to be great, not to make others to be less. Mexico is with respect to wrongdoing that it is currently engaged in, not in all respects. Trump is, to the criticism of some, attempting to forge liaisons with Democrat leaders.

Uh, not to put too fine a point on it, but this was done in a Christian circle amongst other Christians seeking ways to truly show the face of God to others, even with songs of praise, in order to serve God. A far cry from Heidi Cruz declaring that her husband's campaign and her family can show America the face of God. The difference is between seeking to grow and share, and someone making a political point to further a campaign of a candidate well known for his false piety.

If you had an ounce of the fear of God in you, you would tremble at the thought of any mere human even averring that they, in the midst of their sin and filthy garments, could ever presume to show the face of God to anyone, without the mercy and gift of God, and then only as an ever emptying vessel that might approach to that, not on any merit of their own, but by the work of the Cross of Christ. And once you thought about that, you would understand the blasphemy of a political campaign declaring they are here to show America the face of God. I shudder for you.

No, she described the Cruz family as showing America the "face of God". Christ's face was the manifestation of God in the physical. It had nothing to do with principles, or liberty, or campaign values.

God requires much from those He gives much to. Sounds unfair when we have a worldly man going versus a man who has professed faith... but God is jealous of that faith. The world can take mud baths if it wants. This shouldn’t be a Christian thing.

I knew this VERY early in my life. Without seeing grace, I could not hope to show any grace. It was as ludicrous an exercise as when the Egyptian slave masters ordered the Hebrews to make bricks without the straw that held them together.
