In an extensive Facebook rant, Coulter highlighted excerpts from debate transcripts in which Trump denied support for socialized medicine.
In both instances she referenced, Trump denied support for Obamacare, arguing that he would repeal it and replace it with "something so much better."
Asked about universal health care during an interview with 60 Minutes in September, Trump said, "I am going to take care of everybody. I don't care if it costs me votes or not."
"The government's gonna pay for it," Trump replied. "But we're going to save so much money on the other side. But for the most it's going to be a private plan and people are going to be able to go out and negotiate great plans with lots of different competition with lots of competitors with great companies and they can have their doctors, they can have plans, they can have everything."

The cruise MO is walking a slimy line of half truth.
Trump's proposing private insurance across state lines with no government intervention as well as medicare coverage for the poor.
The question would be if it were cheaper to have the government pay for the poor (i.e. the taxpayer) versus the hospitals having to jack up their charges to offset getting stiffed by the poor. Pick your poison.
If you like your doctor you can keep your doctor? Where have we heard that before?
Romney was not a braggart and bully, never went Alinsky on anyone. DT only does Alinsky to the right. Never his dear friends he can work with on the left.
The Don has gotten a lot of mileage out of innuendo and suggestion in his on right, so forgive some of us if we don’t shed any tears over this.
Does Trump know that's what he means? Because to hear Trump it sounds like he's promising a whole lot more.
I was at the March for Justice on October 31, 1998 and heard Ann speak. What in the world has gone wrong with her from that time. She has lost her way, or maybe she is drinking way too much.

Why were you for that then and why aren’t you for it now?

As far as single payer, it works in Canada. It works incredibly well in Scotland. It could have worked in a different age, which is the age you’re talking about here.
What I’d like to see is a private system without the artificial lines around every state. I have a big company with thousands and thousands of employees. And if I’m negotiating in New York or in New Jersey or in California, I have like one bidder. Nobody can bid.
You know why?
Because the insurance companies are making a fortune because they have control of the politicians, of course, with the exception of the politicians on this stage.
But they have total control of the politicians. They’re making a fortune.

HAM: In the Democratic primary, Hillary Clinton has criticized Bernie Sanders’ plan for single payer government health care, noting it would require big, across the board tax increases for Americans. In doing so, she’s doubling down on Obamacare, despite its persistent unpopularity.
Mr. Trump, you have said you want to appeal Obamacare. You have also said, quote, “Everybody’s got to be covered,” adding, quote, “The government’s going to pay for it.” Are you closer to Bernie Sanders’ vision for health care than Hillary Clinton’s?
TRUMP: I don’t think I am. I think I’m closer to common sense. We are going to repeal Obamacare.

TRUMP: We’re going to repeal Obamacare. We are going to replace Obamacare with something so much better. And there are so many examples of it. And I will tell you, part of the reason we have some people laughing, because you have insurance people that take care of everybody up here.
I am self-funded. The only one they’re not taking care of is me. We have our lines around each state. The insurance companies are getting rich on Obamacare. The insurance companies are getting rich on health care and health services and everything having to do with health. We are going to end that.
We’re going to take out the artificial boundaries, the artificial lines. We’re going to get a plan where people compete, free enterprise. They compete. So much better.

TRUMP: In addition to that, you have the health care savings plans, which are excellent. What I do say is, there will be a certain number of people that will be on the street dying and as a Republican, I don’t want that to happen. We’re going to take care of people that are dying on the street because there will be a group of people that are not going to be able to even think in terms of private or anything else and we’re going to take care of those people.
And I think everybody on this stage would have to agree...

RADDATZ: Senator Cruz, to that point, Mr. Trump has said that your position on health care means that maybe you’ve got, quote, “no heart”. There is a question here, though, about uncovered folks. You suggested repealing and replacing Obamacare. As we learned with President Obama’s broken promise that everyone could keep their plan, any major plan — change in health care policy carries with it the risk that some people will lose their insurance coverage or have to change it.
How do you reassure that those people that repealing and replacing Obamacare is still in their best interest?
CRUZ: Well, let me take two different parts of that. Let me start with socialized medicine. Socialized medicine is a disaster. It does not work. If you look at the countries that have imposed socialized medicine, that have put the government in charge of providing medicine, what inevitably happens is rationing.
You have a scarcity of doctors. You have rationing. And that means the elderly are told, we’re going to ration a hip replacement, we’re going to ration a knee replacement. We’re going to ration end- of-life care.
We’re right now heading into a medical system with about a 90,000-doctor shortage in America and socialized medicine; whether proposed by the Democrats or proposed by a Republican would hurt the people of this country.
What should we do on health care? If I’m elected president, we will repeal every word of Obamacare.
(APPLAUSE)
CRUZ: And once we do that, we will adopt common sense reforms, number one, we’ll allow people to purchase health insurance across state lines that will drive down prices and expand the availability of low cost catastrophic insurance.CRUZ: We’ll expand health savings accounts; and we will de-link health insurance from employment so that you don’t lose your health insurance when you lose your job, and that way health insurance can be personal, portable and affordable and we keep government from getting in between us and our doctors.
The later, what we do now, is an unconstitutional taking from the providers without just compensation in my opinion. Worse it results in the other sick people having to pay more, which seems grossly unfair, like kicking a dog when it's down.

Five years ago today, the president signed Obamacare into law.
You know, compared to that, repealing Obamacare and abolishing the IRS ain’t all that tough.
imagine in 2017 a new president signing legislation repealing every word of Obamacare.
Imagine health care reform that keeps government out of the way between you and your doctor and that makes health insurance personal and portable and affordable.
Education
Instead of a federal government that seeks to dictate school curriculum through Common Core...
... imagine repealing every word of Common Core.
Imagine embracing school choice as the civil rights issue of the next generation...
... that every single child, regardless of race, regardless of ethnicity, regardless of wealth or ZIP Code, every child in America has the right to a quality education.
And that’s true from all of the above, whether is public schools, or charter schools, or private schools, or Christian schools, or parochial schools, or home schools, every child.

TRUMP: We have a disaster called the big lie: Obamacare. Obamacare.
Yesterday, it came out that costs are going for people up 29, 39, 49, and even 55 percent, and deductibles are through the roof. You have to be hit by a tractor, literally, a tractor, to use it, because the deductibles are so high, it’s virtually useless. It’s virtually useless. It is a disaster.
And remember the $5 billion Web site? $5 billion we spent on a Web site, and to this day it doesn’t work. A $5 billion Web site.
I have so many Web sites, I have them all over the place. I hire people, they do a Web site. It costs me $3. $5 billion Web site.
But Obamacare kicks in in 2016. Really big league. It is going to be amazingly destructive. Doctors are quitting. I have a friend who’s a doctor, and he said to me the other day, “Donald, I never saw anything like it. I have more accountants than I have nurses. It’s a disaster. My patients are beside themselves. They had a plan that was good. They have no plan now.”
We have to repeal Obamacare, and it can be — and — and it can be replaced with something much better for everybody. Let it be for everybody. But much better and much less expensive for people and for the government. And we can do it.
I’ve employed — I’ve employed tens of thousands of people over my lifetime. That means medical. That means education. That means everything.
Save Medicare, Medicaid and Social Security without cuts. Have to do it.
So, just to sum up, I would do various things very quickly. I would repeal and replace the big lie, Obamacare.
Education
And they’re tired of spending more money on education than any nation in the world per capita, than any nation in the world, and we are 26th in the world, 25 countries are better than us in education. And some of them are like third world countries.
End — end Common Core. Common Core should — it is a disaster. Bush is totally in favor of Common Core. I don’t see how he can possibly get the nomination. He’s weak on immigration. He’s in favor of Common Core. How the hell can you vote for this guy? You just can’t do it. We have to end — education has to be local.

You can never tell what Trump’s words mean. He didn’t have a clue as to what being a conservative means.
Here’s some differences that I’ve been able to discern from listening to his rallies. Trump wants to repeal Obamacare and go back to no government mandates. Insurance business should be private and or provided by employers. Plus he wants to allow it to be sold over state lines. He also likes individual health savings plans. He wants to strengthen medicare for the elderly and provide some kind of plan for those who can’t get coverage any other way. We the taxpayers and premium payers are essentially picking up the tab for that anyway via higher taxes and premiums.
