This man had more of a modest armory than an actual arsenal in his home, based on their description.

Any sane person should be disturbed that police can make random inspections of law-abiding people...and conduct a "fishing expedition" search...so an arrest can be made.
If a police officer tailgated any of us for a 100-mile journey, I am sure any of us would similarly do *something* for which we could be stopped.

Always remember that Big GovernmentTM does not visit to "help" you for anything. Nothing was mentioned about the man having ANY kind of criminal record. Congratulations. They have likely caused this guy to lose his job and goodness knows what it will cost to defend himself to keep out of prison.

Guo Shou, 33, of Rego Park, had 225 pounds of gunpowder...

Now I know why I cannot get me a jug of Varget! Damned hoarders.

Looks like New York Values on parade ...

In West Virginia, that's just an average gun owner ...

Except for the 225 lb of powder. I wouldn't want that much in my house.

Here in Texas he’d be called a amateur. Only 17 guns.

Based on my pre-hurricane Isabel experience, I wouldn’t consider this inventory “huge”...More like a “minimalistic” inventory...

Other than the 225# of gunpowder, unless he reloaded shells, I see nothing illegal at all.

It’s a crime in Texas too. You’re required to have at least twice that much.

right. I fail to see what law he actually broke. If I were on a jury, they’d have a heck of a time convicting him of anything.

1) “Huge stockpile?” Hell, in Texas we call that a good start.

2) The guy is what is commonly called a “schmuck” in NYC, because you NEVER leave anything except dryer lint in plain view when any government employee enters your home. Idiot, they’d have never noticed if he closed a door or cabinet. Not, of course, that he did anything wrong, but sometimes just going the speed limit in a red Corvette is a problem.

I am SOOOOOO glad that I don’t live up there (PDRNJ) any more. I’d have likely been jailed for several dozen magazines that are “too big” according to the law of that dark and fascist state...just for starters.

Ok, I don’t see any problem with the guns or ammo, but I don’t think I want to live in an apartment next to a guy with 225 pounds of powder. I realize it would probably just flash and not go boom, but that would be a major flash. Now if he had his own place a couple hundred feet away from the next house, have at it.

Just another day in the Soviet Northeast. Nothing to see here, comrades.

I know where he got his arms and ammunition.

From his friend Gun Shou.
