The Archbishop of Canterbury said yesterday that Britain must confront its historic responsibility for conflict in the Middle East. The Most Reverend Justin Welby said âour own responsibilities must be faced and acknowledgedâ and singled out Britainâs behaviour during the First World War and its aftermath. The Archbishop also pointed to the British Empire, the global trading system, American culture and even Western championing of womenâs and gay rights as factors which cause âhumiliationâ and disaffection among some Muslims.

Actually, I think we need to do something like colonies again.
We keep going back, so let’s take some territory w/oil and have it run by the military.
Self-funding base of operations.
In sum, Muslims must be appeased at all costs!
Colonialism, didn’t that stop around the time of Slavery? Besides, I don’t know of any mid east country that was colonized.
Perhaps what they meant was European adventurism in the middle east That resulted in Iraq, Syria, Kuwait and Jordan and the little sliver of land for the Israeli diaspora.
Count me in.
What does this guy want? Should we walk about the streets whipping ourselves on the back, because as I recall, it didn’t stop the plague very much.
Germany got screwed at Versailles. Should we NOT have fought WWII?
what is this moron even saying?
Wring your hands, Reverend.
So Much for the White Man's Burden.
Another Islamo-apologist who is WRONG!!!!
Quislamings?
Complex social-cultural backlash against national policies dating from the Age Of Discovery?
Or maybe the muzzies are just half-brained, evil, anthropological throwbacks.
Occam’s Razor Simplified says to bet on the simpler solution
He's a Quislaming.
Idiots like the AB mindlessly forget about Mohammed, the crazed killer who started this death cult centuries ago.
Fortunately the Crusade stalled their slaughter of Christians.

Nice King Henry II reference...:-)
EVERY Islamo apologist is wrong.
And I’ve been more than happy to post about Carly’s speech praising the great culture that ever lived a few weeks after 9/11. She was talking about Islam.
it also bashed backwards Christians in the middle ages.
some shrug it off as a CEO’s responsibility be be impartial blah blah blah.
I wanted to shove her face in the refuse “pit”, as my firemen friends called it, one of whom is now Dead from lung cancer and another who’s lungs are shot.
and to my shock, she was defended by a few for being “brave” for giving the speech in public!!
Nope I will NEVER forget my beautiful buildings falling and never forgive those who did it and their kind, and the apologists.
Yes, let’s blame women and gays, Reverend! They hate women and while hating gays openly they practice it privately - on a scale that dwarfs the west.
Muslim colonizing and imperialism started way before England every thought of it....around 650-700 AD, ask all the countries they conquered and forced Islam at the point of the sword. Or ask the archbishop how long Spain was occupied by the Moors. So much history about Islam they just want to sweep under the rug.
If it wasn’t for the Serbs taking a big chunk out of the Islamic raiders at the Battle of Kosovo in 1448, good chance Islam would have taken all or most of Europe.
Archbishops are rarely good for anything nowadays. Especially British ones.
