Colonialism, didn’t that stop around the time of Slavery? Besides, I don’t know of any mid east country that was colonized.
Perhaps what they meant was European adventurism in the middle east That resulted in Iraq, Syria, Kuwait and Jordan and the little sliver of land for the Israeli diaspora.
Muslim colonizing and imperialism started way before England every thought of it....around 650-700 AD, ask all the countries they conquered and forced Islam at the point of the sword. Or ask the archbishop how long Spain was occupied by the Moors. So much history about Islam they just want to sweep under the rug.
If it wasn’t for the Serbs taking a big chunk out of the Islamic raiders at the Battle of Kosovo in 1448, good chance Islam would have taken all or most of Europe.
Archbishops are rarely good for anything nowadays. Especially British ones.
