Yeah, Right.
this may be series.
Someone at Slate needs to study federal case law on this matter. Nope. Ain't gonna happen.
What is funny about this, the “politicians” haven’t a clue how a water supply works. It will be fun to see them “get to the bottom” of the “incident.” Technically, they’ll never understand it as a “technician” would in about 5 minutes. But it will be fun to watch them “follow the money” and find out why the water supply was switched. The charge shouldn’t be manslaughter, it should be corruption. (And I don’t think corruption is a crime in the USA these days).
Having previously served as a city council member, I was keenly aware that allowing raw sewage to flow into the streams and rivers could result in imprisonment. The EPA takes that s*** seriously. But manslaughter for this is a stretch.
This media circus is really getting stupid now.
I’m looking for an analysis done by a Freeper a few weeks ago. Basically, lead levels increased, but by small amounts, which are still below FDA standards of only a couple years ago, as I recall.
Did they have a death?

I live in the area. (I have a WELL for my water)
Been watching everybody on Facebook screaming for the REPUBLICAN Governors head. Never mind he’s been in office only 5 years and is Governor of the STATE, it’s futile to argue with these folks that a problem like this is YEARS, if not decades in the works.
I don’t even delve into the details to know that corrupt CITY people have mimicked the Federal government and used money that we SUPPOSED to go to maintaining the water works for their own fun and profit.
Years and years of this corruption and we end up with the problem we have now.
So let’s blame the current Governor cos he’s a REPUBLICAN! I’m not absolving him from his share of the blame for I’ve read he had some knowledge of the problem and kept quiet.
But Granholm had to know about this too.
I’m amazed at how folks here are saying this is a complete REPUBLICAN doing - when Flint has been run solely by Democrats since the seventies. (At least!)
Did someone die from the water?
Will any EPA officials be prosecuted, or is this witch hunt localized to state and Flint, MI officials? The EPA officials need a good trip to the slammer.
Killing time and screwing the government.
It's now turned into nothing more than a "never let a serious crisis go to waste" shyster convention.
Actually the whole thing is beginning to sound like an inside job...with the amount of $$$ amounts being thrown around to(so-called)...rectify this "disaster"... for the sake of the children!
I smell a 'rat, actually a lot of 'rats.
Political figures and their cronies creating a crisis, then getting rich off of it?...why something like that could NEVER happen!(pfffft)
