Carolina Panthers quarterback Cam Newton just gave his critics all the ammunition they need.
Already under fire for how he conducts himself on the field, Newton went silent after his team's 24-10 loss to the Denver Broncos on Sunday in Super Bowl 50, sulking at the podium and essentially refusing to answer questions.

I didn’t say he will cry racism, but he has. Are you saying you would be shocked if he played the racism card again?
What race card?
Eli: dang I need to win another one.
It sounded like the interviewers were bending over backwards to be empathetic with Newton’s sullen state of being.
Full Disclosure I live in the Charlotte Metro Area.
I don’t have a damn clue what your media has done to you.
[ Newton got up and left.]
Newton was nervous, outmatched and hamming it up within the first five minutes of the game. Then the professionals rolled on, the Panthers made a few simple mistakes and the Broncos played professionally.
Newton should study how to be worth his pay.
“I’m an African-American quarterback that may scare a lot of people because they haven’t seen nothing that they can compare me to.”
- Cam Newton to the Charlotte Observer, a couple weeks ago.
Cam looked like he was driving his truck.
I wonder if he still thinks people are “afraid of his skill set”
Peyton is just glad his littler brother has to shut up about having two rings instead of just one.
OK. He says he is a black quarterback that has played like no other black quarterbacks. He might play as a white quarterback sometimes.
Is that racists or just the damn truth?
He has been told he is more than special. Auburn fans have turned him into a god.
2-50.
Yeah, I’m sure there is much competition between those two brothers.
Side note on the lame halftime show. I was listening to KFI 640 Los Angeles tonight and Mo Kelly and his buddy said the 30 minute Half Time show is getting more boring each year. Coldplay is boring, Beyonce got her act together in three days ago and Bruno got his buddies together last week. Concerts do not work for halftime shows.
Solution? KFI suggested a 30 minute circus with Chinese ladies on bikes and spinning dishes and a Walenda tight roping across the stadium. Funny.
3-50
Your media brought it up. He answered.
I expected exactly what he did at the after game press meeting.
His teammate with the blonde beard managed to answer questions in a forthright manner, and even gave some analysis. He was obviously upset over the loss but he was a man about it.
Newton gives the impression he is upset for himself, not the team.
