Trump/Rubio have different skill sets, so yeah, I could see it. FWIW, I do not dislike Rubio as most Freepers do.

I'm much more uneasy about Jeb and Kasich gaining any traction at all, and will feel much better when they're out of the race. They are the two who actually take pride in not representing Constitutional Conservatives.

Me too prefers the Rube over Yeb and Ka-sick. Rubio has at least made a 180 on Amnesty, like Cruz. Yeb and Ka-sick are still spouting easy path to amnesty.

I don't viscerally dislike Rubio either, although I think he is entirely too inexperienced to head a national ticket. Christie exposed that brilliantly.

Except for his awful mistake with the Gang of 8 Bill, he's been a fairly reliable conservative vote.

I think he sees the error of his ways on that, and he'd have done himself a huge service if he straightforwardly acknowledged that it was a bad decision, ask forgiveness, and move on. His Clintonesque denial of what he plainly did earns him no brownie points.

8 years of paying dues in the VP slot will go a long way towards seasoning him.
