Picture taken Nov. 15, 2009, in Sanibel, Florida in the Andrews home at fundraiser they hosted for Marco Rubio, when nobody gave Rubio any chance to defeat Charlie Crist. Phyllis Schlafly made a special trip to Florida, at Pat Andrew's request, to headline the event.
Phyllis Schlafly is a retired American constitutional lawyer, conservative activist, author, and speaker and founder of the Eagle Forum. She has led the conservative movement for 50 years. Schlafly came to national attention when millions of copies of her self-published book, A Choice, Not an Echo, were distributed in support of Goldwater's 1964 presidential campaign.
Phyllis Schlafly was the first major conservative to endorse Marco Rubio for US Senator over Governor Charlie Crist.
Yesterday Phyllis Shlafly said freshman Senator Marco Rubio should be disqualified from the presidential race for lying to conservatives in English and saying something entirely different on Spanish language television.
Schlafly released a 15 page "Rubio Betrayal Memo" Friday to denounce Rubio's actions as US Senator. Check Eagle Forum for updates.
The memo begins with this-

Oh my!
Watch out....you’re gonna get accused of being a New World Order promoter. Or maybe a Seven Mountains Theologian!
The nuttiness is strong these days in some segments FR.
Hank
(In case it isn’t clear, much respect from this quarter for daring to voice the view you voiced...which I share. Even though I am a Cruz supporter.)
Actually, she officially endorsed Trump
The nuttiness is strong these days in some segments FR
Indeed....like some folks comparing Trump rallies to Hitler, right Hank? Can’t get any nuttier than invoking Godwin’s Law!
She did? That’s great. Do you have a link? TIA :)
I'm not aware of anyone doing that. But yeah, if someone did, that would be nutty.
Hank
Just to be fair, do you have a link with the word “endorse”, or did you just record a call with her?
Yeah, I agree. Really nutty.
See 36, with quotes.
We are all on the same side, I have no doubt everyone here wants to end the socialist rule that we now live under. Freerepublic has been painful for many of us to read lately. People posting hundreds of articles with BS fake headlines trashing Trump and Cruz. We are all taking the bait and Rubio is rising.
There are trillions of dollars at stake, and the establishment has many hundreds of think tanks and clever people working 24x7 to shape our opinions and jigger the election. Maybe Trump is not your ideal candidate but think very hard if your choice...Cruz....Carson or whoever can go the distance. Cruz ‘the perfect consvative’ does us no good if he loses to Jeb in the primary or Hildabeast in the general.
Thanks....missed where you’d already posted a link. Mea culpa, FRiend.
When it was you who were incorrect. No problem, I don't need an apology and don't expect one.
>> I called her this week to ask her to rescind her supposed endorsement of Trump
That’s a bold thing to do regardless of who she might have been supporting. Did you really ask her to rescind, or are you hyping the point that you prefer Cruz — which of course is perfectly okay.
Trump and/or Cruz 2016.

Schafly told the “Focal Point” program that she had not endorsed the billionaire businessman despite an interview in which she agreed he could be the “last hope” for America.
“I haven’t really endorsed anybody for president,” Schafly clarified after the WorldNetDaily “exclusive” on Dec. 22 in which she was interviewed.
I'd have to agree with you on that. It was a bit much to take. Seemed Rush lacked a whole bunch of credibility at that point. I actually switched off the radio in a "no way, BS" reaction.
What was your Radio name? Mark.....
