Following Rick Santorum’s inability to name a single achievement of Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL) 79% , the media sought to answer the question for themselves. Yet many reporters appear to have come up empty handed.
As The Washington Post’s Chris Cillizza writes, a “major part of the problem is that Rubio doesn’t have all that many accomplishments in the Senate.â€
“When Rubio is asked to name his single greatest achievement in the Senate, do you hear crickets?†tweeted the National Journal’s Ron Fournier.
Though Rick Santorum was unable to name the accomplishments of the man he just endorsed, there are indeed several accomplishments that are quite noteworthy. Below are a few of Sen. Rubio’s achievements that Rick Santorum could have identified on MSNBC this morning:
(1) The Rubio-Schumer Gang of Eight Bill
The Washington Examiner’s Byron York has described the 2013 Rubio-Schumer bill as Rubio’s “signature accomplishment.†Although Santorum seemed reluctant to mention it, Rubio’s immigration bill is probably the first accomplishment that comes to mind when anyone thinks of Rubio’s very brief career in the U.S. Senate.
Rubio’s immigration bill would have tripled the issuances of green cards, doubled the dispensation of foreign worker visas, and granted citizenship — and, thereby, welfare access and voting privileges — to illegal immigrants.

There’s no such thing as a perfect conservative, but Rubio is FAR from perfect.
Looked through the list and everything to no avail except he got a courthouse renamed and a reward offered over Benghazi.
So, is turning in paperwork an accomplishment?
Thanks for that link. The MSM must be prevented from using this info. as an October surprise should Rubio, by way of Gop-e dirty tricks, become the nominee.
I agree with you that Congress is dysfunctional, on our side.
There is no real leadership on the Republican side. Cruz unfortunately was unable to effect any leadership and Rubio fortunately failed in his only attempt.
We will need a strong, effective president on our side, and soon, or we will be lost as a nation.

Rubio is a enigma for me. He is a guy that should be good: young, energetic, self made, nice family, understands economics and well spoken. On the other hand, first chance he got he did the gang of eight thing. Also, war for the next president is inevitable; I am not sure I want Rubio leading us in the next one.
So, why repeat history? We should have learned our lesson.

Well, you might say that not one other senator, save Mike Lee, had the courage to stick his neck out against the GOP-E, seeing ow viciously Cruz has been attacked.
Remember, success is being faithful to your oath. The fact that he could not prevent creeps from being creeps should not weigh against him.
His biggest accomplishment is actually waking up, getting dressed and making it to one day of attendence in the Senate.
After reading this whole article, it is now clear to me that Rubio is the Soros candidate. Open Secrets, open borders. Enough said.
I never understand this GOPe all favored by the establishment. It is almost like the voters don’t make the choice. Everyone of those people who were on the R list were chosen by the voters. We don’t pick candidates at the convention anymore so the establishment can only cross their fingers that the voters vote for how they want.
And I will say it again.....it is the system that picks the GOP nominee. We have proportional in the South and winner takes all in purple and blue states. That is why we don’t get a full conservative. Change the South to winner takes all and our chances increase 100 fold.
I am still stunned that Mike Lee refuses to endorse Ted Cruz......to me that is a flag. Just something weird going on in the Senate with regards to Ted.
Tom Cotton? That is another stumpper.

And we all know what happened the last time we elected a smooth talking, polished, young, good looking, Senator with no experience.
