WHY THE FATE OF THE REPUBLIC depends on Bernie Sanders.
Let me explain. Look at the potential general election matchups as will be seen and understood by undecided persuadable voters.
Rubio/Clinton>
R= young, inexperienced, nice, rino (vs) Cl= media favorite, old, experienced, grandma, mean. Rubio’s problem, how do you fight a grandma? The Matchup= Young kid vs grandma. Winner grandma in the first round.
Cruz/Clinton>
Cr= smart, lawyerly verbiage, gentleman (vs) Cl= media favorite, old, experienced, grandma, mean. The Matchup = Smartass lawyer vs grandma. Winner grandma by unanimous decision.
Trump/Clinton>
T= grandpa, old, high negatives polling, take no prisoner fighter (vs) Cl= media favorite, grandma, old, experienced, high negatives in polling, mean. The Matchup= Badass vs badass. Winner grandma in a split decision.
Rubio and Cruz have no chance by visuals alone. Trump an outside chance.
All three would beat Bernie.
Conclusion: Vote Bernie in primary. I’m serious.

But really: How do Cruz supporters justify the claim the Carson would have a huge announcement the next day. On what FACT is that claim based?
It was an implication that Carson would announce his campaign was over.
Carson announced to someone that he was going to fly from Iowa to Florida to change his underwear, then fly to Washington with a fresh pair of undies for the Prayer breakfast and people shouldn’t take this kind of behavior into consideration before they vote?
Politicians screw each other over. It is what they do. Cruz is a politician. Why the surprise?
They got caught saying Carson was taking a break from the campaign after Iowa.
I guess in Trump world, telling the truth is horrible and shameful?

A Carson staffer whispered something that shouldn't have leaked to CNN, a CNN reporter tweeted it, then Team Cruz drew an inference and beamed it out -- and Cruz is the only candidate here who has trouble controlling his staff? Huh.

I can’t help thinking that Team Cruz should have contacted Team Carson to verify the information they had, before broadcasting it out to all their precinct captains. It doesn’t matter if they got the info from CNN, a Carson staffer’s tweet, or what. They really should have made absolutely sure that the info was 100% accurate before executing a play that wound up costing Carson a lot of votes.
I personally feel that was plain wrong of them to exploit that opening, and run with something that (they all knew) would be devastating to Ben Carson’s campaign on the very night of the vote.
What was even more disappointing, is that Ted refused to discipline any of his people for this monumental screw up.
Saturday night can’t get here fast enough.
Just saying Iowa is over with, we need to move on....

You have to think why Rove is so against Cruz. He is the GOPe. Cruz is not their puppet and so Cruz remains my favorite.
