'I don't think so, darling': Donald Trump dismisses woman defending illegal immigration

Colin Campbell

Donald Trump held a town-hall-style event on Thursday, and his first question was from a woman who appeared to criticize his hard-line approach to illegal immigration.

The woman began by saying she was from Southern California.

"You live in Southern California? What are you doing here? Are you a liberal Democrat, by any chance?" Trump joked at the Exeter, New Hampshire, event.

She continued by saying she had friends who immigrated to the US illegally.

..snip...

Trump responded by accusing her of asking the question on behalf of Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vermont), a left-wing Democratic candidate.

"Who told you to be here? Bernie?" he asked her. "No, no, this is a Bernie plant. This is a Bernie plant. All right, OK, I understand your question."

The questioner no longer had her mic after that, but the same woman reportedly then yelled at Trump that immigrants were part of the backbone of the US.

"I don't think so, darling," Trump shot back. "I don't think so. I don't think so. No, I don't think so. They're not the backbone."

For someone who “supports” Trump, you sure are giving everyone else ammo to use against him. Sorry, but I call BS on your “support”.

And those workers are direct employees of Trump? No they aren’t. They work for the GC. Trump could push back on the GC, but that all depends on what is written in the Contract.

“I support Trump”

You direct some ugly words at your fellow FR Trump supporters, as well as some odd support for our next president.

Trump doesn’t have a problem with groups of illlegal aliens standing outside of his hotels handing out porn. It think it’s safe to assume he doesn’t have a problem working them inside them.

“Probably most people that work in Trump hotels came here illegally.”

I like Trump’s talk.

But in real life he has hired more illegals than almost anyone in the USA.

Anyhow, Trump has already said its a revolving door. He will give them amnesty.

Nope. No evidence. Read you own articles. What you have is a bunch of accusations, tied together by some “guilt by association” logical fallacies.

Just repeating the accusation is not proof.

This is one of the major success of the Scumbag Media. Now days you simply publish the accusations, hype it, then walk way when someone points out you are merely repeating accusation not presenting any actual evidence to back up your claims.

For example, these “Polish workers” worked for the contractor at Trumps project. What is repeated is some hearsay from a worker, with no attempt to document any of his claims. The author then fraudulently attempt to link Trump to the accusations without ever showing that Trump, not eh contact, is the only who employed the supposed worker in the 1970s who is now making the claims, There there is the hyping of "only paid them $5.00 an hour". Lie by omission. Carefully left out is the fact the Federal Minimum wage at that time was $1.60 an hour. Just publishing the accusations is not proof. Might want to do a bit more critical thinking rather then just reading what you want to hear

I don’t think I’ve ever heard anyone complain about legal or illegal Polish workers. In every country I’ve been to; including the British Isles, Europe, Asia and the Americas they are known as honest, hardworking people who usually give more than they get in their new countries. Their contribution in the Northeast is very evident today.

Trump has stated that he uses e-verify on his jobs to ensure all workers are legal

I’m soooo adopting this as my stock reply for those who try to push this garbage.

“I don’t think so, darling.”

It doesn’t do any good to debate with them about it anyway. They just don’t understand why we don’t just hand over our country to them and give them free everything.

And he is 100% correct and anyone who isn’t willing to fight back on this invasion, is a damn traitor imho.

Talking to both Rubio & Cruz - I wouldn’t and do NOT trust either one of those politicians when it comes to illegals.

Oh I trust them completely. Status quo with Cruz, Amnesty attempts one right after the other with Rubio.

Status quo is Death just the same.

What is missed is Evangelicals seem to want more illegal Hispanics in the USA as do the Mormons (who are almost identical in thinking to Evangelicals in politics) and Catholics because Hispanics are religious and More Hispanics = more new customers.
