In a little-noticed interview earlier this year with Univision's Jorge Ramos, Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL)79% declared that, as President, he would keep Barack Obama's executive amnesty for DREAMers in place until it was permanently codified through legislation.
Rubio said, in part:
DACA...applies to young people that arrived in this country at a very young age before they were adults and I don't think we can immediately revoke that... I'm not calling for it to be revoked tomorrow, or this week, or right away.
"I think it will have to end at some point and I hope it will end because of some reform to the immigration laws," Rubio said in English.
So Rubio is pledging to carry Obama's policy: leaving the executive amnesty for DREAMers in place until Congress submits to the order by legislatively ratifying amnesty. After a legislatively ratified DREAM Act, illegal aliens would be able to vote in U.S. elections and bring their relatives to work and collect entitlements in the United States.
The similarity to President Obama's rhetoric is striking. President Obama told Congress: "if folks are serious about getting immigration reform done [they should be] passing a bill and getting it to my desk. And then the executive actions that I take go away." Similarly, Obama told George Stephanopoulos after being pressed on his executive amnesty: "Well, my response is pass a bill."
Most famously, Obama said: "To those members of Congress who question my authority to make our immigration system work better, or question the wisdom of me acting where Congress has failed, I have one answer: "
In the interview, Ramos asked Rubio something that Rubio has not been asked in any of the Presidential debates thus far: "Would a President Rubio revoke Deferred Action and executive action by President Barack Obama?"

I got into politics late(started in 2008 hated how Obama won, so I joined this site because I needed an outlet I just could not believe how someone like Obama could win I warned people for months about him) but were things always this bad..the infighting, the picking sides, the name calling, was it always like this or is this just the way politics is, UGLY. I like Trump, I like Cruz, if they were ever to pair up they would be unstoppable in my opinion its just the way that I feel, and I know the establishment wants Rubio to win, he is their guy..it used to be Jeb Bush but please, he needs to beg people to clap for him..Kasich, yeah he is a scary liberal douche bag he has zero chance of winning, so the Establishment is betting on Rubio to be the nominee
Thanks.
BUILD THE WALL!!!!
Rush yesterday struggled for words to describe how wonderful Rubio is.
Agreed.
Makes me choke when I hear Rubio question Cruz’s character while accusing him of saying anything in order to get elected.
Rush is fading from history very quickly. I am beginning to believe those many that say he is a RINO!! This “conservative” brand needs strict definitional boundaries. Just saying you are “conservative” is not enough. Rush is ambivalent in the war in this party. There is no one in the middle. This will be fought to victory. It is Karl Rove or Donald J. Trump.
Rubio’s not my guy...Cruz is.
But I’d run into a burning polling station to vote for Rubio over Trust Fund Donnie.
Hank
Me too.
“Rush is fading from history very quickly”
Only in your very tiny, very smooth brain.
They fly their Mexican flags, take over neighborhoods and turn them into places that look like something across the border. We have billboards around town advertising lawyers that assist illegals.
A housing development popped up and advertised...no documentas/no problemos. No documents, no problem? Seriously? Who is lending them the cash? How do they apply for the loan with no documents?
Gangs, drugs, sex trafficking, theft, carjackings, burglaries, murders, rapes..so on.
An illegal alien was interviewed a few years ago. He bragged about owning a business, owning a large home, trucks and so forth...w/o being legal....how?
Illegals work in Houston with no problem. They evade taxes, fill our emergency rooms and leave after treatment and disappear w/o paying the tab. Our property taxes are high as hell in part to cover the indigent care through the Harris county hospital district. Auto insurance rates through the roof to cover accidents where illegals crash and run.
Illegal aliens are a huge problem here in Houston and around Texas. I want them gone.
this is why the GOPe wants Rubio! They want to lose!
you underestimate the power of the press and the oligarchy structure.
they have played a successful strategy the past few weeks.
Cruz and Trump ripping each other apart, send the RINO up the middle with the ball.
not good. I already know people who are beginning to say “well, he beats Hillary in the polls, and he’s conservative on most issues blah blah”.
this is bad
Yes, Cruz needs to get out before he is ruled ineligible by the socialist Court. He is wasting political oxygen.
We are not going to change each others votes :),
but I will vote for Trump in the NY primaries if it is a horse race between he and Rubio.
That’s the best you’ll get!!
met Trump twice in the city, he’s nice in person.
We all do. It is a cancer that is eating our culture, our money, our schools etc. That is why we will have the wALL. We have no problem with self sufficient productive, healthy aliens. What we will stop cold are the illegal aliens. It will be quick and over. To those illegal aliens that illegally take our jobs and our tax funded benefits00 get OUT!!
Trump will get the huge New York Delegate count easy. Trump will win Illinois delegates— Florida , OHIO!! He WILL WIN CALIFORNIA. This is over after cruz was exposed in his racist attack on beloved Dr. Carson. He is gone. We will now rally behind this wonderful man, the greatest American since George Washington— to annihilate AL Gore!! ( Hillary is finished)
No he is confused and lost . He has no idea what is coming. TRUMP!!
The only way Iâll stay home on election day is if Rubio is at the top of the GOP ticket.

I’m with you..Hillary is counting on us staying home. The Rube needs to be terminated...with extreme prejudice, and soon.
