On one level. I’m sympathetic that the trucons deserve a chance to prove their theory (that it’s possible to elect a trucon President). They’ve been loyal GOP soldiers for a long time.
On the other hand, GGG, the question remains: Where are the 64 EVs going to come from (that Romney didn’t win)?
And, beyond that, suppose a trucon wins 270-268. Do you believe a trucon can govern after such an election?
Trump did say he could shoot someone for no reason in broad daylight and his followers would still slovenly follow him as though nothing happened. So whatever it is, it will probably be big!

Are you suggesting we go with Rubio over Cruz for electability reasons? Because Trump, with highest negatives of any candidate sure as he’ll isn’t more likely than Cruz to pick up any new EVs. He has topped out and trails both Hillary and Bernie in all the head to head polls. Plus, he’s not getting anymore lovable these days.
