Assuming this is true, these college students were not only extremely evil but remarkably stupid criminals as well, which is fortunate given the fact that they were in the engineering program. Or, perhaps they didn’t care about covering their tracks and have no regrets about what they have done. It reminds me of Leopold and Loeb, without the diabolical intelligence of the murderers (Loeb was a genius, book-wise) but with the added factor of the internet. Here you have a 13 year old girl, awkward as most kids are at that age, she stood at 4 foot eight inches, and she thought that she was suddenly of interest to males, probably having some concern about the older pedophiles who contacted her but was assured by an 18 year old track star and college student. My heart goes out to her family and my prayers to God for them. But I would rather be them than in the family of either of the accused for I can imagine little more wicked and evil than they have done, preying on and murdering a defenseless, trusting young girl who had gone through a lot of pain in her life.
Thanks for the post. Pure evil.
Where was Nicole's father in all of this?
“Law enforcement, including the local Commonwealth Attorney, have declined to speak about how Eisenhauer and Lovell came to know each other.”
The news media were told not to ask any questions.
I am not surprised by this but all of it will have to be told/shown at trial unless the animals plead guilty.
HOW THE HELL ARE WE TO KEEP OUR CHILDREN SAFE?
HOW HOW HOW?
Ping
Where’s her father?
children, teens should have “dumb” phones not smart phones and monitored internet. Parents can be so naive about their childrens activities
What the heck is in the water at VT, a lot of bad stuff seems to swirl around there.
Yes and tragic. I feel very sorry for Nicole and her parents.
Very interesting to learn how the detectives work. Lack of daily prayers and lack of fathers, uncles and grandparents opens the door for evil influences. The thirteen year old girl was suffering and saw a new boy interested in her as healing. Her last moments were probably brutal. RIP.
...green Minion’s blanket she brought for what she may have thought would be a simply sweet moment with an 18 year old....
&&&
Sweet? What? She was planning to have sex with the murderer and that is described as “sweet”?
A 13-year-old girl should have been taught more about what is appropriate behavior, about what is dangerous behavior. Nothing “sweet” about what this kid was doing.
Too much evil in the world.
RIP, Nicole.
The article didn’t mention it, so I would assume they haven’t done it yet, but why haven’t they done everything they can to retrieve her cell phone? The woman said it was in the pond. They should be dredging and diving for it. Hopefully they can forensically extract messages from it to prove his premeditation.
Did anyone notice how her Dad wasn’t close to her, and said he didn’t live with them, but yet he was first to post on his Facebook page about her murder and how HE was affected, not her mother or grandparents who took care of her every day. He also immediately got on the Dr. Phil show to “talk” about being the parent of murdered child and Internet predators. He is a joke. You don’t see the mom doing all that, because she is at home, tore up, grieving, just trying to cope, while the dad is being an attention whore. Good job, Dad, good job.
They had a vigil for Lovell on Tech’s campus last night which caused a small disturbance online.
