No, it was an official report that Carson was taking a break.
The implication that came from the break is what was false.
CNN said Carson was not going to NH or NC. Not that he was going home for a change of clothes, just that he was going home, and not to the next primary states.
Do you understand what caucusing is? You try to convince supporters of other candidates to back your guy. Telling someone their candidate is sinking in the polls and will eventually drop out is fair game. Using the CNN report was legitimate. Making up a phony report would be dirty tricks.
The entire point of honor is to do the honorable thing.
Both of them chose to do the dishonorable thing. Both claim to be Christians.
They are both whores.
If that is what you are looking for in a president, then you know of two whores that you can support.

Carson was polling at 10 percent; he got 9. That could be reasonable polling error, or at most the report cost him one percentage point. (At most.)

Sleazy, lying politicians are the targets of Mr. Trump. It makes no difference if they’re the slimy politicians already holding office, or if they’re using the same tactics on the campaign trail. A sleazy politician is a sleazy politician. They need to be outed along with the sleazy, lying media.

Who was the target? Trump primary target by getting more votes for Rubio and Cruz. Carson was considered collateral damage.

Most hotels have dry cleaning service...why would you fly home to get a change of clothes? The further story is that he was going home for a few days for R&R, then off to DC on Thursday for the National prayer breakfast...this decision by Carson to leave the campaign trail for most of this week right before NH suggests that he is either an amateur or he’s not taking the campaign seriously anymore...maybe both!
Poor Ben Carson thinks politics is Romper Room. He better toughen up or get out of it. Anyone who has been following politics for any length of time knows you have to be made of steel to last and you will be wrongfully attacked. Ben better go back to medicine. Politics is not Church.
And Trump needs to learn how to lose gracefully.
