Donald Trump just accused Ted Cruz of stealing the Iowa caucuses over the Cruz campaign's admission that it helped spread a rumor that Ben Carson was dropping out of the race:

I could have written your post (but not as well or concisely). You are correct: Cruz is not going to clean the swamp in DC if he won, nor can he win.
Everyone thought Nixon was “big” and “presidential” for keeping quiet about the evidence he had post election that Kennedy rigged it and won that way. I’m about truth. Whether it says good or bad about my candidate. Maybe a lot of things would have been different if America was trusted with the truth about “Camelot.”
Cruz is not impressing me as much as he once did. It’s easy to mock the rich bombastic guy. The ones who cloak themselves in religious robes, though, sometimes use that to get away with stuff.
Dirty tricks should not be tolerated at the time of voting.
It will just encourage more of it, and give the dems cover to say “ well I was ok when Cruz did it”.
Trick Dick Cruz will have every word of his from now on scrutinized for Tricks, lies, ommisions.

I am sure Trump has some evidence that Cruz has used unconstitutional means to win the Iowa caucus. He will reveal the proof at the appropriate time.
After screwing Dr. Carson, Hillary will get a huge AA vote thanks to Cruz.

Cruz was a Constitutional scholar (cough) and had to go to the Supreme Court and convince Kennedy one way or the other on various cases. Yes for some reason he never got a ruling on his birth in Canada......and even worse he didn’t question whether he should drop his Canadian citizenship until he decided to run for President......those are important questions.
As far as the fraud that Cruz did in Iowa, that is a different topic that Cruz needs to be punished for. Saturday night HOPEFULLY he will be by the other candidates.
