Didn’t you see the part where the CNN story did not characterize it the same way Cruz and his staff did?
CNN is characterizing it’s report differently now. However, last night CNN media personalities were tweeting out that Carson was not going to carry on his campaign to New Hampshire and South Carolina.
I did and I heard Rush reading the whole thing that CNN said and it’s obvious Cruz and his camp are a bunch of liars.
You fell into the same “mistake” Cruz’s people fell into: you beleived CNN.
This is what they said in this article:
“CNN reported that the retired neurosurgeon planned to go home to Florida after the Iowa caucuses, RATHER THAN FLYING STRAIGHT TO NEW HAMPSHIRE OR SOUTH CAROLINA (emphasis mine), where the next primary contests are held. His aides have emphasized that he is not suspending his campaign — rather, just briefly going home to “get a fresh set of clothes.”
At http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/news/3391860/posts?page=85#85 you can see some CNN tweets. One mentioned that Carson would not be going DIRECTLY to NH or SC but would go to FL, but the other 2 said he was not going to NH or SC, period. And the initial tweet that Steve King reacted to was this:
“Chris Moody (@moody), 4:43 PM CST
Carson won’t go to NH/SC, but instead will head home to Florida for some R&R. He’ll be in DC Thursday for the National Prayer Breakfast”
Sure seems like the only activity on-line for next week was going to be the prayer breakfast.
So CNN’s page is STILL propagating a lie, in the interest of making Cruz look bad.
And Freepers make the same mistake: trusting what CNN says without first fact-checking it.
