Maybe he needs a nap. The moderators kept waking him up during the debates.

It is. My interpretation is he is meeting with advisers or money people, but I could be reading too much into it.

Taking flights in Iowa in early February to freshen up is a BAD idea.

If Carson is not heading straight to New Hampshire, he is out of the race, officially.

This is not the sort of signal that a serious candidate who is running to win gives. You can’take expect your troops to fight if you are going home to rest. It also strongly suggests that he might be about to drop out.

Interesting ... the site owner pulls this thread from breaking news but leaves the one where Carson accuses Ted Cruz of dirty tricks. No bias there. /s

The CNN report that said he wasn't staying for the caucus also said he wouldn't be in New Hampshire or South Carolina, which made it sound like he was leaving the campaign. This spread to other media outlets

More evidence that the report of his going home naturally leads to speculating about the status of his campaign.

On twitter, supporters of other candidates (not just Cruz) were posting this since it almost always means the candidate will be dropping out.

It seems like they started the segment with something like "We have breaking news"....

Leaving the campaign trail to go home usually (barring a family emergency) is a sign of dropping out. If this ends up not being the case, this shows that Carson is a great man, but a political novice. The last thing you want to do is look like you on the verge of dropping out when you insist that you are not.
