Trump vows to pay legal fees of supporters who 'knock the crap' out of tomato-throwers.
Donald Trump got word from his security detail in Cedar Rapids on Monday that there could be someone in the audience with tomatoes -- so Trump reportedly decided to go ahead and take precautions.
"If you see somebody getting ready to throw a tomato, knock the crap out of them," Trump urged his supporters. Were anyone to feel concern about being prosecuted for assault in such a scenario, Trump reassured that, "I promise you, I will pay for the legal fees."

Oh gee..yet you anti-Trumpers make all kinds of excuses re your "special" candidate/s, no matter WHAT they do or say.
You're just a filthy HYPOCRITE!
To: Norseman
Then we do agree. I doubt very much I'd knock the person down before the event, unless it was a gun?

And howâs that theory working out in gang warfare land? There hasn't been a gangland tomato hit in decades. I can walk through Harlem without getting hit by a tomato.

If taken with the usual Donald Trump hyperbole grain of salt, he is probably kidding.
Still, he needs to watch it, there ARE kooks out there.

Riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight, like Cruz running for president, when he is
NOT eligible at all!
He's pissing on the CONSTITUTION !

I'm with you FRiend, if I see some scum bag throwing ANY dangerous object at my candidate, he'll be picking his teeth out of the asphalt.
MY candidate? How about ANY candidate, if I'm physically present? Right is right, wrong is wrong. Throwing things ain't right, even if you don't favor the target.
Well FRiend, that principal is certainly a valid one, you get no argument from me, but I doubt anyone would find me at a rally or function for a candidate that was NOT my candidate. ;)

Just saying civility is out the window. If you don’t match the escalation of the left you enable their bad behavior. Society is turning violent.

No he isn’t and neither shall he “implode”....much to your horror and/or chagrin. LOL
To: SunkenCiv
Legally, that might be construed as incitement. Not the best thing, especially if the dumbass tomato-thrower is injured in the melee.

Oh, nobody gets excused before God.
Not Ted Cruz and not Donald Trump. He’s just a hair from being taken seriously into tragedy. Maybe God will let it happen to Trump and he’ll learn a bit of good judgment.

I would HOPE Trump’s lawyers have a quick and urgent talk with him.
Urging the commission of a violent act, and offering a consideration for performing that act, has the potential to get him in trouble.
