A Gallup poll found that Republican presidential frontrunner Donald Trump is the most unpopular candidate of either major U.S. political party when the entire American population is taken into account.
Take a look at the numbers:
“At this point (two-week average through Jan. 27), 33% of Americans view Trump favorably and 60% unfavorably. It's that 60% unfavorable figure that I can focus on here.
Hillary Clinton currently has a 52% unfavorable rating among all Americans, while Jeb Bush is at 45%, Chris Christie 38%, Ted Cruz 37%, Marco Rubio 33%, Bernie Sanders 31% and Ben Carson 30%. Trump's 60% is clearly well above all of these. Putting his favorable and unfavorable ratings together yields a net favorable of -27 for Trump, far above the -10 for Clinton and for Bush, the next lowest among the major candidates.”
Currently, Donald Trump has a higher unfavorability rating than any nominated candidate from either major political party since Gallup began tracking favorability in 1992.
“The bottom line is that Trump now has a higher unfavorable rating than any candidate at any time during all of these previous election cycles, and that conclusion takes into account the fact that unfavorable ratings tend to rise in the heat of a general election campaign as the barbs, negative ads and heightened partisanship are taken to their highest levels.”
These numbers could spell trouble for Mr. Trump in the general election, should he win the Republican nomination. Iowa will be the first state in the country to vote for the Republican nominee on Monday.
they just never give up gotta love them for their persistence
One of my biggest complaints with at least some of Trump’s supporters is this: As a social conservative, I have been fighting in the Culture War for many years. Fifteen years ago, when those of like mind were trying to rally support to the conservative side, many (ahem) moderates who claimed to be Republican or even conservative were either nowhere to be found, or even worse were claiming that we were needlessly hyperventilating about the problem of the rising tide of liberal aggression in the social sphere. They assured us that they were on our side, but that there was nothing to worry about. When our fears were proven right, they said that there was nothing that we could do about it and it wasn’t that big of a deal anyway. Some even effectively took off their mask and revealed that they were kindred spirits with the other side.
Now some of these same people who were AWOL in the Culture War are accusing us of being part of the liberal establishment, when it was they who were complicit in the liberal establishment’s implementation of a new world social order.
Since they were noncombatants or even undercover enemies in the Culture War, I am apprehensive about making peace with them now.
Good. I am glad the hard core demodogs and GrOPE hate him
Who cares? The general election is a choice. Trump or Hillary. I’m pretty sure once Trump is done with her she’ll have 70% unfavorables. He will gut her.
But he is still winning in all the polls. LOL You can have it both ways.
No wonder Gallup is giving up regular polling.
The article is from Mark Levin’s publication.
To gains victories in the culture war the media and gope must be destroyed first.
Scientists agree 2015-16 warmest winter on record.
what to the Cruzers tell us? Oh yes, “If you’re taking flak you must be over the target”.
When are the national primaries again?
And when does “favorability” equal votes?
This will escalate quickly.
Probably because most people consider him to be an obnoxious buffoon.
How is his national poll numbers so high if he is so unfavorable? Explain that dichotomy Gallup?
Trump could run against Nate Silver. Im sure Nate Silver would have good positive/negative ratings compared to Trump, but he’d still win because Nate is a nerd running against alpha Trump.
I don’t care what anybody says. I’m still gonna vote against the Democrat.
And he's not even campaigning against Democrats yet.
Instant discredit ...
It’s a start...
