One hundred ten students from Glen bard South High School in Glen Ellyn, IL visited Masjid Baitul Jaamay [Mosque] of Ahmadiyya Muslim Community in Glen Ellyn of Chicago on January 28, 2016. The students were from an honors world history class and had recently completed a study of Islam. They were accompanied by three teachers. Imam Shamshad welcomed the students and lead with some opening remarks that this is the need of the hour we should come together to understand other faiths specially The Islam because there are a lot misunderstanding about Islam and people do believe whatever they listen or have information from the press and media, This was followed by a short presentation on Islam and Ahmadiyyat given by Dr. Iftekhar Ahmad, President of the Ahmadiyya Youth, Glen Ellyn Chapter and Secretary of Public Affairs.

Mountain View

At the completion of the presentation students and teachers were able to ask many questions which were answered by Imam Shamshad. In response to the students and teachers one of the question asked Imam Shamshad said, in the presence of Holy Quran which is The Last Holy Scripture, Old Testament and the New Testament why all Muslim, Jews and Christen are waiting for the Messiah? It means all 3 persons are not coming only one will and that one already had appeared. When anybody says that No one will come then he should not wait for the Esa son of Mary too from the Heaven. Responding to another question Imam said Mother is paradise and the father is a gate to the Paradise so respect your parents and elders. Students were satisfied with the answers...

I'm on the local school board and I guarantee you, the Christians have a hard time remaining Christian ... especially in the Middle and HS ages

Hormones do more than spark interest in the opposite sex and the trained "educators" know how to utilize and manipulate THOUGHT PROCESSES

They don't actually DO anything except indoctrinate

Kids come out of HS DEFINITELY not R or D but assuredly Socialist BY indoctrination

This might be because being Christian is seen as trying to adhere to a laundry list of do’s and don’ts.

Rather than focusing on the character of a Savior and endeavoring, however distantly at times, to home in on this. With prayers all the time for help to get nearer and nearer and not despairing no matter how far one may seem to be at a particular moment.

If this broader sense of Christian were kept in mind, rather than the fragile list-of-rules-compliance sense, it would be more readily embraced during these tumults. No act is unforgivable except the act of resolutely forever giving up on the Savior. The world has to live by rules, that is true, but again it’s the world. It does not know a Savior, it needs what it does understand, through which the Savior could lead.

Can you image if a teacher took a class to a evangelical church.the uproar, the screams about “separate of church and state” yet this is ok... WOW cattle marching off the cliff!
Oh on the bible verse you quoted...”1 John 2:22 Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? He is Antichrist, that denieth the Father and the Son.”.......Exactly!

And if I were a hypothetical monk giving a talk to these kids... I might point at their sometimes swooning sense of love, and use that as the very example of how God loved them. That the burning desire to be near again to a humanity that had walked off from Him was so intensely great that He descended into being a member of mankind and underwent being killed on a cross, to prove His love was true and to work the necessary salvation.

God has not left Himself without witness! He has found His witness so cruelly ignored, however.

And so he is. It’s sad to me that this verse gets more notice than the promise verses of the bible. But ignoring the promises will get you needing to heed this sooner or later.

yes! Islam has never brought peace, nor does it mean peace. GW Bush lied to the American public and he will stand accountable. Islam literally mean submission (forced)...and Antichrist!

The churches teaching that are dwindling ..

I agree wholeheartedly, but there IS an element of Christian that DID all that ... and as soon as the kids could ... they got out and never returned

I have 2 out of 5 that way

It's a heart breaker ... and a loss not only to the Body of Christ ... but to society as well

One boy is 30, two kids out of wedlock and not with either mother ... just a mess and he isn't listening to me nor any sympathetic siblings

THAT kid is all OVER fallen Christianity

And even young children can do this.

The world tends to inculcate suspicion of anything supernatural. Oh, you’re teaching them to be fortune tellers, or something equally ludicrous. (One legal definition of fortune teller is one who claims to be able to ward off evil. I guess they never consulted any clergymen when doing this, huh?!?)

Well let’s be the new gypsies, if that’s what the world thinks. We don’t care! It is Christ who has the power and we can count on Him.

It is a tragedy and a heartbreak. Any evaluation of the situation that fell short of that would be a lie.

The good news is that we have a Lord who was heartbroken over the heartbreak.

If speaking does not do any good, prayer and manner of life still may. From within, these people are empty. When the Lord sees the right moment, He will knock and say “May I fill that hole?”

And there is an aspect of the proverb that focuses on “When they are old.”

Like the prodigal son who sowed his wild oats and came back destitute, many have a foundation that teach them what it is possible to come back to.

God plans out lives the way they are for a reason. “Watch and pray.”

It’s easier to say than do, but giving that life back to the Lord may be the only option left. Do the good you can, not necessarily the good you wished were possible but that he left no avenue to receive.

God may allow great suffering to go on all around rather than see a final loss to the devil and his hell. Suffering can be the sign of salvation in progress, in some cases. I remember when Mother Teresa quipped that suffering was the kiss of God. The woman she was talking to said she wished for fewer such kisses, thank you very much. Well suffering isn’t the kiss of God and Mother Teresa got that wrong. But suffering is the other side of a situation where the Lord is investing His own face. If something weren’t struggling to live, if it were giving itself over to just death, suffering would not occur.

They are seeing a bowdlerized Islam. The one that cuts off heads, etc., is nowhere in sight here.

No .. there was no temptation ... but some memories came back .... about 75% OK and nice , but about 25% scarey and the impetus for me to never trip again ... since, I think '72 or thereabouts

I think the last I did was Osley ... but then ... I'd be guilty of remembering the 60's, eh ?

There’s no sin in taking a lesson for the better. You don’t have to wallow though.

If I want something psychedelic, I just listen to a reading of the book of Revelation. God dropped some acid on us, so to speak, lest He be accused of not keeping up with the times.

Studying Islam in high school. When will parents demand Christianity be taught, too? Probably never! Because there are too many liberal atheist parents.

When is a republican going to complain about separation of church and state like the democrats do when it’s Christianity? Never! Because they’re cowards.
