From memoirs to financial advice to politics, inside the collected writings of Donald J. Trump.
Sitting down with the collected works of Donald J. Trump is unlike any literary experience Iâve ever had or could ever imagine. I spent this past week reading eight of his books â three memoirs, three business-advice titles and his two political books, all published between 1987 and 2011 â hoping to develop a unified theory of the man, or at least find a method in the Trumpness.
Trump sauid he would make deals with the Democrats, so there goes most of your list.
And you you really think Trump would appoint constitutionalists ton the US Supreme Court. You know, the Trump who likes Second amendment restrictions, is pro-abortion, thinks Kelo was a great decision, wants single-payer health care, etc.
Are you serious?
Thank you for posting that link to the article.
Troop will return to his liberal roots.
Trump’s not a conservative, he (and his followers) have expressed everything ranging from ignorance of to disdain for conservative principles, and if he’s elected by anybody, it won’t be conservatives. It will be people who could equally be happy voting for Bernie, because they know Trump is going to be a big government person but hope he might side with them. Sadly, they’ll be disappointed, because Trump will side with Trump - the government/big business interest duo that he has always used in his “deals.”
Reading Trump’s books makes a lot of sense. See the world through his eyes and words.
Yes, I’m serious.
Reagan had to make deals with Democrats. Our government is set up as a form of constant negotiation. If you don’t negotiate then you have gridlock and a pen and a phone. I think Trump would make good use of the bully pulpit - you get the people on your side and the rats will cave.
Trump’s books, and I’ve read a couple is a big reason he is wrong for America. Is is just as narcissistic as Obama, and how has that worked?
True. But now conservatives say character doesn’t matter. Words don’t mean anything. Trump is a conservative, and pigs fly in this alternative universe.
Trump sure liked illegal aliens when he built many of his properties at extremely low pay. He got away with it by paying off the Mafia and union bosses.
Yes, but they were Poles, and he paid them real good, five bucks per hour. They helped get rid of asbestos, without all that unnecessary gear. He likes immigrants
You apparently failed to read the second paragraph of my post, or was it because what I said about Trump is true, and you know it but don’t care.
Always the posts on the evils of Trump, revealing the evil people who constantly try to destroy him for our protection.
Evil comes in a number of forms...
Yes. This is the Trump we all know and love!
Every president, until Woodrow Wilson, based their intent of being a good president on Washington's example. After Wilson it has been hit and miss.
Ronald Reagan is the closest example of someone who went back to the first principles that guided all of our Founders and most of our presidents.
A little history would be good here. I have studied in detail things like what the Oath of Office really means, and the intent of our Founders in writing our important documents. One thing is clear:
The American presidency is unique in the history of mankind. We are the only ones who vote for our executive. No other country does that. And that was done by design. We have a special connection to our president, whether we have voted for him or not. The man filling that position must recognize his special role as moral leader and as the ultimate protector of our Constitution.
Trump's words do not square with an understanding of the role.
Someone who does not understand that role and be willing to do the role as original designed will be the first to abuse it, as we are experiencing right now with Obama.
I wish that Trump did understand what the role really is, because he has a commanding presence and people like him, but can we afford to let this person have this truly special role when all he really wants is to be our nation's leading deal maker?
It’s because I don’t what to have a line by line argument with you. I could counter everything you said but why? Your mind is made up.
I just posted what I’d like to see in a Trump admin. Just let it be at that.
Revmusrescon?
Like Carlos can read. Good one!
I guess the difference would be between a narcissist that loves America as opposed to a narcissist that loathes America.
