"Congress must protect our borders first. Amnesty should be done only if the border is secure and illegal immigration has stopped"
In this I do not agree with Trump. Lawbreakers should never be given amnesty.
I did not say it was a win for trump.
Not much different than Cruz wanting the Gang of 8 bill to pass in 2012.

Sounds to me like a step back from his “ every illegal must leave and come back.”
It all sounds good until American business people and nannie/housecleaner needers start whining about having to pay real, legal wages to Americans...instead of Cheapodollarpesos/no bennies for the Mexicans.
Trump is saying what we want to hear, in actuality what Rubio was promised by in the Gang of Eight. That is that nothing could happen until the border is secure.

I watched a news story that there is a website that posts fake Trump tweets, and I think this tweet was one of the ones mentioned.
How is that a “win” he’s still calling for Amnesty in it, or am I wrong?
So Trump is for amnesty once his conditions are met. He will probably have more supporters than ever on Free Republic once the word gets out about his latest betrayal!

With new diseases popping up seemingly every day those who don’t enforce secure and well recognized borders are basically complicit in national genocide. With the ability to travel around the world and across oceans almost on a daily basis there has to be some sort of attempt at medically safe immigration. Even a hike up from the fetid swamps of Central America is well within the incubation periods of a host of diseases. Geeez! JMHO!
