On today's Morning Joe, a seething Mika Brzezinski ripped Bill O'Reilly for his failure, during his interview of Donald Trump on last night's Factor, to defend Megyn Kelly against Trump's attacks on her. Trump has called Kelly a "third-rate reporter," a "lightweight" and "not good at what she does." Rather than challenging Trump over his criticism of Kelly, O'Reilly spent the segment importuning him to change his mind and appear at tonight's debate. At one point, as we noted here, O'Reilly even resorted to citing the biblical tenet of forgiveness, to which an unyielding Trump shot back that the Bible also speaks of "an eye for an eye."
Brzezinski suggested O'Reilly should have retorted: "excuse me? You're talking about her intellect? She's a lawyer . . . she's a mother of three. You do not undermine the credibility and the intellect of my colleague." Concluded Mika: "where was that, Bill? That was lame!"

Mika rips O’Reilly for failing to defend Megyn against Trump.
Ping to Liberal Media Criticism list.
There is no media person that needs defending.
trump lives in their minds.
just because Megyn is a girl that wears platform heels because she is height inferior doesn’t mean she needs help from a man
“You’re talking about her intellect? She’s a lawyer . . . she’s a mother of three”
Really Mika, tell me what being a parent of three has to do with his rating her a light weight reporter? Something amiss with Mika’s choice of accomplishments for her argument but I am not going to touch it here.
It's also the "plants" and the ambush they planned for Trump.
I think O'Reilly knows about these and won't try to defend them.
Fox News has hurt itself bigtime - O'Reilly knows it.
To be honest, she ain't even that. She is a former lawyer who now reads from a teleprompter. An entertainer.
"lightweight"
It is quite possible that she does not hold her alcohol well. She is rather thin...
"not good at what she does."
Context. I have watched her show quite often and found her interview style to be rough and often shoddy. Were she to interview some of her guests as if they were on the witness stand, I think the dialogue would be much better.

She was a lawyer and I am pretty sure her children are being raised by her husband and/or nannies. Further, she is a big girl and has said similar things about the Donald as well as others of note.
Concluded Mika: "where was that, Bill? That was lame!"

MeGyn doesn’t need BO to defend her.....she has Rush.
It is AMAZING how Trump DOMINATES the news cycle. Trump could make a tuna sandwich and the MSM would be talking about it for a week
Liberals will play the “mother” card if that’s all they got.
It is a fantastic show being played on several stages.
My gut tells me Trump will be on the stage and he will not be attacked
It was the childishly written & taunting PR statement by Fox that made me not do the debate, more so than lightweight reporter, @megynkelly.— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) January 27, 2016
One blonde bimbette defending another blonde bimbette.
When the smart, tough-as-nails former attorney persona doesn’t work, fall back on being a girl and scream the boys are being mean.
I refuse to call MegynKelly a bimbo, because that would not be politically correct. Instead I will only call her a lightweight reporter!— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) January 27, 2016
I don’t think so, he’s got the other even planned and appears committed to it.
Yeah, Megyn’s a big girl in 2015 so we don’t change the rules because we don:t like the outcome.
If this gets any worse, Megan is going to appear on Saturday Night Live with her head shaved and tearing up a picture of Trump.
