Donald Trump becomes the choice of the Republican establishment
Reuters ^ | January 27, 2016 | Bill Schneider

What we are seeing now is a split. The Republican Party establishment is anxiously embracing Trump. The conservative ideological establishment is angrily rejecting Trump and promoting Cruz. What’s the difference?

Republican Party leaders see Trump as more flexible and pragmatic. “We’ve got to make deals,” Trump said at a campaign rally last week. “We don’t want to sign executive orders. We want to make good deals.” Deal making is something professional politicians understand.

Good. Michael Reagan is an illegal alien lover. Let him support Cruz. He gets out of bed every four years and drones about something and back to bed for another 4 years.

A President that is willing to shut down the government in order to preserve the nation, or

And what preserving did he do? Your explanation is going to be rich. I can already tell. Unless you say the shutdown accomplished nothing, then you are wrong. I might have to wait until tomorrow. You may be writing in your diary about how great Cruz is......so I can be patient.

And the establishment was all for Trump when they rubber-stamped the three plants, Muslim, illegal, and whatever.

Good. You can vote for the guy who went against Reagan and gave the maximum to Jimmy Carter’s campaign in 1980 and Mondale’s PAC

Reagan shut down the Government. Several times.

The fact of the matter is that Cruz stood on Principle. And Cruz did not shut down the Government.

Obama was THE ONE who actually shut down the Government. The GOP allowed Obama to blame them and then the GOPe pointed their fingers at Cruz.

If the GOP hadn’t caved, then maybe the shutdown might have accomplished something. But the GOPe blinked and Obama took full advantage of their cowardice.

Now we have Ryan giving Obama everything he wanted on a Silver platter with no amendments or nothing.

The GOPe surrendered the power of the purse to Obama. Cruz didn’t. Any failure of the shutdown to accomplish anything can be laid at the feet of the cowardly GOPe.

What state can Cruz win that Romney didn’t win?

What states do we pick up with Cruz?

Do we lose any?

If not, we lose how many Supreme Court justices? We’re a vote away from losing gun rights already.

Let’s deal with REALITY.

Who can win over Democrats, union workers, and blacks other than Trump?

Oh yes I base my vote on what happened in 1980 and 1984. Are you out of your mind? I was 9 and 13 those years for goodness sake. Lord get a grip.

Come on friend...........please get on the Trump train......it’s fun.

Join the bandwagon, eh?

I'm a Texan by birth and a Rebel by nature.

I ain't gettin on no bandwagon to Hell. Trump is a pied piper. Telling everyone what he thinks they want to hear and not meaning a word of it. Read between the lines my Friend. Build the Wall but let the good ones back in. Don't allow the Muslims in until we do. Make America Great and have Nancy Pelosi and Chuckie Schumer play a leading roll in doing it.

Hillary, they use street money. Kerry lost because he was stingy. BO used generously.

If Trump resorts to paying off the rabble for votes, then he will definitely win.

BO used buses.

Trump can afford to drive the mental patients and street rabble to the polls in limousines and give the winos Napa’s finest.

Trump has been using his money to buy influence for decades. I suppose he is only one step away from using it to buy votes.

Then don’t compare the guy to Reagan because he was obviously anti-Reagan only until it was okay to not criticize the man.

“I was 9 and 13 during those years.”

Well that explains a lot. Try and be a little more respectful to your elders, son. :-)

And Dole, Reid... I sense a pattern. Why would they want Mr Single Payer 2000? Trying to protect something? Um, Obamacare?

Too little, too late. If THE ESTABLISHMENT really wanted Trump, they would have supported him all along.

Now it’s TRY ANYTHING to stop him...too late for them, and us.
