With No Trump, Cruz Goes From Hunter to Hunted

Hollow or not, Donald Trump's threat to boycott the final GOP forum before Iowa votes has complicated Ted Cruz's game plan, forcing the Texan to prepare for two different debates -- one in which he tangles directly with the front-runner and another that sets up the senator as the largest target on stage.

With hours until debate time, Cruz's campaign still says it thinks Trump's pledge to skip the forum is a stunt. "Donald Trump will be at the debate," Cruz spokesman Rick Tyler Tyler predicted. "Mark my words."

"Donald Trump will be at the debate," Cruz spokesman Rick Tyler Tyler predicted.

This from the brain trust that thought glenbeck was a good idea.

Wow, wonder if this was a consideration for Trump. They all go after the frontrunner, who is now Cruz.

Trump is a couple of days ahead of of the rest of the pack, by the time they think that they know what he is doing, he has smacked them and left.

We will get to see how Cruz handles being the target at a debate.

No reason Mika wouldn’t like Trump. He’s a left-liberal big goverment populist.

Wow, wonder if this was a consideration for Trump. They all go after the frontrunner who is now Cruz. Good luck, Teddy.

They will go after the p*ssy. This whole campaign has been a Junior High debate. "you're ugly", "you have high heels", "you have to get your mommy". etc. When the kid is absent, who do you think the kids are going to nail.

Trump thinks people are not going to tune in? Give me a break. This is going to exceed the other debates. People want to see what is said.

I know, I normally can’t stand the guy, but he’s been really plugged into what’s been going on in the horse race. I’ve been pleasantly surprised by it.

Not pleasantly surprised to watch Morning Joe, mind you. I catch the clips on Youtube when I hear Trump is on or when he is doing primary analysis. :-)

Even sweeter if they’d bring Beck in as a guest moderator - would be utterly hilarious !

“We will get to see how Cruz handles being the target at a debate.”

What I don’t understand is how that man manages to sound like he’s reading a teleprompter even when he isn’t.

Drives me crazy.

Speak from the heart, man!

I cannot disagree with you there. They obviously have their favorites in the GOP race. I think Rubio is their guy.

And while Teddy is getting attacked, Trump is hosting a townhall where some other Republicans join him after the undercard. How cool is that?

Nobody gives a crap what a bunch of has-beens and never-will-bes have to say about the only guy that anyone tunes in to see.

All eyes will be on Trump’s competing rally and it will dwarf the debate in the ratings. The clips of Cruz getting pummelled by his rivals and embarrassing himself with weasel words and then clapping for his opponents as he is slapped down, however will be big hits on youtube.

Too bad that Rubios gang will get the questions ahead of time and not Cruz. ITS A TRAP!

See ya Ted.

People want to see what is said.

Not me, no desire. I barely got through the last debate with Trump in it. I couldn't care less what these clowns do to each other.

Does this stunt demonstrate what a formidable, serious President Trump will make? This is the stuff leaders of the USA are made of. As long as it keeps trump from saying anything of substance. like polls, Canada, New York, how much everyone loves him. Unfortunately, methinks he will make a grand entrance tomorrow—and that will be the news of the debate and the day.

Aug 9, 2015.

Sorry dude, but you are supporting Obama with bad hair. When Cruz and Beck were manning the bulwarks of American Imprimus, Trump was backing partial birth abortions and Emanate Domain.

Here’s how you can spot a liberal. You challenge their ideas, they react with a personal attack. Anyone disagrees, and Trump and his bots respond with: “He’s a loser, he’d dumb, he’s a has been, he’s unpopular”. The schtick was cute when he beat up RINOs, but attacking the character of real conservatives is....Democrat.

Hopefully the biggest loser will be FOX news.

Apparently, they are taking it in the shorts ad $ for the debate. Some buyers are paying a lot less in a debate without Trump.

Wait until millions of Trump supporters decide to do a Macy on MGYN Rather and her old buddy Murduck.

Two really short Cubans will be after each other like starved pit bulls.

Jeb will be on Rube like a shark after a wounded fish.
