Most of America was riveted to the weekly spectacle of pseudo-eggheads sweating in a glass booth, trying to answer the $64,000 question. Big bux in those days. Charles Van Doren was the big winner, but was involved in the cheating scandal, as was revealed years later. (This from memory; I stopped watching movies long ago for similar reasons. Don't put horrible imagery into yer eyeballs.)
