Rupert Murdoch is urging former New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg to throw his hat in the ring and run for president.
"This is Bloomberg's last chance," the billionaire media mogul tweeted Wednesday morning. "You never know until your hat is in the ring!"
Murdoch added, in what may be a veiled reference to Donald Trump's planned boycott of Thursday's GOP presidential debate on his Fox News Channel: "Events change everything, especially during elections."

All makes sense, now.
Actually, sending them there would be an insult to mental patients.
Rupert don’t be mistaken. It was not your brilliance that built Fox News but the same anger, moral outrage, ethics and Christianity of the No Coast Joe Citizen that is also responsible for the emergence of Trump. Granted you recognized those qualities but don’t mistake Fox News as being the horse that pulls the cart as that position belongs to Joe Citizen.
His gun control stance would hurt him with Republicans. I think he would draw more democrats than Republicans too.
The only downside to a Bloomberg entry as an independent, is that Bloomberg can spend a lot on advertising trying to take down Trump. But would the rats need bloomberg to do this. Bloomberg could do negative advertising leaving Hillary to look like the only one not duking it out.
"Some of the policies Bloomberg advocates parallel those of either the Democratic or the Republican party platform. He is socially liberal or progressive, supporting abortion rights, same-sex marriage, strict gun control measures, and citizenship for illegal immigrants, for example. On economics, foreign, and domestic issues, Bloomberg tends to be conservative. He opposed a timeline for withdrawal from the Iraq War, and criticized those who favored one. Economically, he supports government involvement in issues such as public welfare, while being strongly in favor of free trade, pro-business, and describing himself as a fiscal conservative because he balanced the city's budget.[77] Environmentally, he believes man-made climate change is real. Bloomberg has been cited for not allowing many emergency officials who responded to the September 11, 2001, attacks to attend the tenth anniversary observation of that day.[78] He also is at odds with many around the United States for not inviting any clergy to the ceremony marking the anniversary of the 9/11 attacks.[79]" - Wikipedia
sounds about right.
Neither wealth at birth or after is required for the term elitist or elite to apply.
elitist: a person who believes that a system or society should be ruled or dominated by an elite.
elite: a person or class of persons considered superior by others or by themselves.
Tell me why Bloomberg does not fit into the definition!
No way Bloomberg would carry the South. However, Trump would!
Rupert Murdoch is a businessman just like Trump. Trump donated to and praised Democrats and said Hitlery would make a good president.
This is how businessmen operate. They have to be nice to the Left.
And salt on our food.

What is Murdock? He is newspaper/news/media magnate. The more players in this ‘ball game’ results in a more stories. More scandals. More insults. More advertising. More sales. More profits. More dividends.
He wins and he really doesn’t care who wins the election.
Bloomberg would be an excellent addition to the show. Cuban and Zuckerberg too. I may vote for Lautenberg’s corpse if the Democrats dig him up.
Bloomberg is a pro amnesty gun grabber with the personality of a robot. He is also a midget. I saw a picture of him standing next to Trump that was truly embarrassing.
I know. This helps republican.
Broadcast this far and wide. Watching Bloomberg (Murdoch) spend a fortune to go down in flames would be so rewarding.
The little arrogant dictator who banned salt and trans fats wants to be your gun confiscation president
From my admittedly limited point of view I see this as a move to generate even more political advertising income. Trump is just not putting out the advertising dollars that they need to see.
or not
bill was hysterical.
fox is done after its latest michael moore/twitter attack against trump double whammy
when you are not in the position of power, you dont poke the other side.
they will lose 20 million dollars possibly tonight.
rating will plummet terribly
Bloomberg was the one who supported the building of the Ground Zero Mosque, remember. Trump would have a good time with that one.
