Trumpâs refusal to participate in Thursday nightâs debate as long as Kelly is moderating smacks of sexism.
She doesnât call herself a feminist. âBut every so often, as all [women] know, you have to stop and slap somebody around a little bit who doesnât understand that we are actually equals and not second-class citizens,â Kelly said in the article.
When Kelly returned to Fox News Channel from maternity leave in 2011, she challenged on her show the conservative radio host Mike Gallagher, who had called her three months off with her baby a âracket.â
âI want you to know that the United States is the only country in the advanced world that doesnât require paid maternity leave,â she told him. âIf anything, the United States is in the dark ages when it comes to maternity leave. And what is it about getting pregnant and carrying a baby for nine months that you donât think deserves a few months off so bonding and recovery can take place?â
Two years later, she took on another conservative commentator, Erick Erickson, after he wrote about how terrible it was for civilization that women were increasingly becoming the breadwinners in their households.
âWhat makes you dominant and me submissive and who died and made you scientist in chief?âshe asked him.
The New York Magazine profile recounted how after that moment, Sheryl Sandberg, Facebookâs chief operating officer and author of the book âLean In,â which encourages women to advocate for themselves, called Kelly and said, âI love you, you are awesome.â
Without asking for it, Kelly has become something of a feminist icon just by being a woman who stands up for herself.

She looks like a professional all right.
Well...maybe.
Still, there’s something cheesy about her. Can’t quite put my finger on it.
`Every little bean must be heard as well as seen.’
I hate when they give girls boys names.
<urff, grrgggh!>

Let me help - based on my marketing background - she is photogenic and the way it works is she writes an article then she is booked on MSNBC to talk about it to keep the article in the news cycle. I am betting she was to review the attack on Trump during the debate than go on the TV and tell the viewers why Trump is an evil sexist male who was cut apart by a clever woman on FOX. So she is a plant for TV for messaging.
That hair lately is about as masculine as it can get. Is she trying to look like Eric Trump>
That’s not “sexism” which doesn’t mean anything. That is threatened brutality.
Could it be that she is quite possibly a tart, a nice piece of fluff who climbed on the the backs of more qualified lefties on her looks while spouting the required politically correct things, a progressive Chatty Cathy with a plastic ring and string on her back:
“Sexism!” “Diversity!” “Climate change!” “Microaggression!”?
etc. etc.
Hmmmm?
I’d still knock boots with her, but I’d cut-off that plastic ring and string.
------
Might sound conspiratorial - but I have a marketing background - they gave her a Clintonesque haircut so she can be a Hillary clone for the debate - Trump being destroyed by someone that subconsciously would remind the viewer of Hillary. Think on it.
She sacrificed her hair for the debate? BWAHAHAHAHA! That’s quite delicious.
Thanks for posting— perfect!
Can you imagine how this type of "advice" would be greeted if it was being thrown out there for men?
Phony phakers!
I missed the “triumph” part.
I agree, with the whole comment.
I got her canned from an event for Rosie’s Place in Boston for that comment. Having WRKO advertise it helped.
u are soooo right. my bad :(
