A Somali immigrant was arrested yesterday for hitting an MBTA bus driver and records show transit cops have locked him up three times for violent assaults in less than three years, officials said.
Mohamed Noor, 29, of Brookline was arrested after he boarded a bus at about 12:45 a.m. on Commercial Street in Malden, but refused to pay the fare, police said.
âThe (driver) explained to Noor he would have to pay his fare or exit the bus,â police said in a statement. âNoor began to make verbal threats and insults towards the victim and in doing so placed other passengers in fear of their safety. When the victim refused to move the bus, Noor struck the victim in the face and head with his scarf and hands.â
Noor pleaded not guilty in Malden District Court to assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, interfering with a bus driver, disorderly conduct, and threatening to commit a crime, Middlesex District
Attorney Marian Ryanâs office said. He was held on a probation warrant out of Roxbury District Court.
âThe safety of MBTA employees is one of our top priorities, we will follow this case closely to ensure Noor is held responsible for his actions,â said Transit Police Superintendent Richard Sullivan.
In October 2013, Noor was arrested for punching and kicking an elderly bus driver in Roxbury. He was sentenced to 2â1â2 years in prison, with the sentence suspended for four years, court records show.
Then, in August 2014 he attacked a man in the Sullivan Square MBTA station, savagely beating the 53-year-old until the victim ran onto a bus, Transit police said in a statement. The victim in that case did not testify, however, Noor was held in Immigration and Customs Enforcement custody for a time, court records show.
An official with ICE said they have not placed a detainer on him, but added âICE is closely monitoring the situation.â
Mohamed.. Sounds like he is just acting a bit like his namesake.
Obama’s son.
What? Did he think he was in Germany?
Give him a free plane ride home. Since Somalia may be too dangerous to land in, drop him off from 500 feet.
But here, it isn’t taken quite so much lying down. Even most US “liberals” will still let the authorities take care of them, even if they won’t defend themselves.
We think it’s bad here... well it is, in ways, but it could be worse... thank the good Lord for mercies and favors large and small.
‘The safety of MBTA employees is one of our top priorities, ...’
That right theres a bald face lie. If that were truly the case Nor wouldnt be in America. Our safety and security is trumped by PC baloney.
Malden in the news once again!
Issue stun guns to drivers; require drivers to use them; that should get the newly arrived and non-English speaking immigrants’ attention.
Seriously, with a rap sheet like this, why is this POS still allowed to live in the USA?
Nobody’s individual safety can be top priority. That is a set of logical equations without a solution.
However, everybody can be pledged to the defense of the others. That has a solution.
I mean, not everybody’s individual safety can be top priority.
Unless youre a pol then its paramount.
Might as well let the more “liberal” (illiberal) areas get what they welcomed. The brouhaha that results might turn some lights on, even if dim ones.
The next bus driver should just run him over. Problem solved
Mohammed.
Those silly Amish.
Surprise? the millions of savages among us are a time bomb. They are stupid, genetically deficient, and have no idea what civilization means.
Yeah, today there is a pecking order like that. A far cry from the original American vision which is like my second example. But that’s another consequence of walking away from any kind of sincere faith in Christ, a Christianity which isn’t an oxymoron. George Washington wasn’t perfect but he did refuse to be lionized because he knew God buttered his bread.
You must code.
Pluswhich, I’ll bet there’s a huge amount of self taught philosophy there.
