Donald Trump wasted no time Wednesday morning fanning the flames of his newly reignited feud with Fox News star Megyn Kelly.
"I refuse to call Megyn Kelly a bimbo, because that would not be politically correct," the Republican presidential front-runner said in an early morning tweet. "Instead I will only call her a lightweight reporter!"
Trump has taken issue with Kelly since the two faced off in last summer's Fox News debate - the first Republican debate of the 2016 election cycle.
Trump's last throw down with "The Kelly File" host was similarly punctuated by the b-word [Aug 24, 2015].
The rivalry was restarted Tuesday night after the real estate mogul announced through his campaign manager, Corey Lewandowski, that he would not be participating in Thursday's Republican debate, which is slated to air on Fox News.
In a pre-rally press conference in Iowa City, Iowa, Trump referred to Kelly as a "lightweight" and a "third-rate reporter," and suggested he would be sitting out the debate in favor of a charity event for the Wounded Warrior Project.
Kelly quickly responded on her show by declaring that she would not step down as moderator.
Her network soon followed suit with their own response, accusing Lewandowski of threatening Kelly, and vowing to not to give into "terrorizations."
No, he’s a small, petty man.
That sounds more like a wish for success than a threat. FoxNews credibility is in the toilet.
That’s the first time ever those words appeared on the same line. You can have Stirewalt. I’ll take Trump.
“She just wants to be the smartest, hottest, richest person in the room.”
**********
Like “The Donald?”
LOL! No kidding. She got hit with both the forehand and the backhand on that one.
She’s a conniving strumpet in a tight dress passing as a serious journalist. Oh, she’s damned smart and quick witted. Most times her quick wit serves her well. But she’s playing fiddles with a devilish virtuoso and she’s just not equipped to play ball in the Big Leagues. In the end, a strumpet nonetheless.
Bimbo? She looks more like a dike these days. She should change her name to Butch Kelly.
Yeah so he sulks away and holds a fund raiser at the same time as the debate for our heroes the Wounded Warriors!
What a CAD!
He did, by using her name and that word in the same sentence. There are a few well worn rhetorical techniques guaranteed to leave an opponent sputtering with impotent rage. This is one of the more blatant ones, usually followed by a wink of the eye.
He’s done more with a single tweet than Jeb Bush’s donors have done all winter.
Well, she needs to fall out of Brit Hume’s bed a little bit earlier in the morning and start working on professionalism.
If Fox was serious about journalism they’d give her time slot to Sharyl Attkisson.

THE KELLY FILE for July 27, 2015
Kelly File, The [Fox News] (USA) - July 27, 2015
EXCERPTS
Joining me now, FOX News digital politics editor Chris Stirewalt who is intimately involved in the debate process, as I can attest firsthand working with you at length and already today, we had a lengthy meeting doing one of the most important things you can do in the presidential process which is to come up with questions for these guys and potentially gal, who will stand on this stage this time in ten days.
(snip)
STIREWALT: I gleaned that Donald Trump says a lot of stuff. I gleaned that Donald Trump when he talks about the border, when he talks about all the stuff. When they get on that debate stage, it’s going to be very hard. You can’t fact check it, you can’t do it in real time.
KELLY: Uh-mm.
STIREWALT: Because he makes these claims, like I have journalists call me and say that they’re sorry and that they were wrong. Which journalists? Who? When? Where? Who is this?
KELLY: Uh-mm.
STIREWALT: And he just keeps moving through. He rolls like a free train. And the question is, for him, in a debate, in a one-minute increment of time, with you pressing him, with Bret pressing him, with Chris pressing him, is he going to be able to just bulldoze through or is he going to have to fill in the blanks?
KELLY: My own impression is, if you dodge and weave enough, the viewers will hold it against you. The anchors — the viewers need to understand the debate we have far less opportunity than, say, here on THE KELLY FILE to interrupt the candidate and make them answer the questions we ask, but there are rules that govern this debate. But we’re going to try. And if you continue to dodge, they know, they know when you dodge. So, my advice to these candidates is, don’t make me hurt you.
Ugh. Why is this necessary? She asked one really bad SJW question, and he hasn’t let it go. He should deal with the substance if he can’t let it go.
I was going to post another of his tweets from 2014 about “losers and haters”, but what follows it would get deleted by the moderator, who years ago reminded me that profanity isn’t allowed on FR, which I appreciate.
Kelly was seen on her knees in front of Michael Moore last night so “bimbo” is apt.
He didn't.
He did.
I know the humor doesn't come off well in a short exchange. But looking at his tweet, it is probably a good prediction.
“Megyn Kelly is what she is, a bimbo. So call her one.”
I have a serious question for you - and I’m honestly not trying to start an argument with you! What makes Megyn Kelly a bimbo? I always thought a “bimbo” was an attractive but dumb woman with loose morals. Kelly is attractive, but not dumb. I don’t see her as having loose morals either. I disagree with her on some things - she is for gay marriage and I am most definitely not - but I can’t see her as a bimbo. What makes her a bimbo do you believe?
