Donald Trump wasted no time Wednesday morning fanning the flames of his newly reignited feud with Fox News star Megyn Kelly.
"I refuse to call Megyn Kelly a bimbo, because that would not be politically correct," the Republican presidential front-runner said in an early morning tweet. "Instead I will only call her a lightweight reporter!"
Trump has taken issue with Kelly since the two faced off in last summer's Fox News debate - the first Republican debate of the 2016 election cycle.
Trump's last throw down with "The Kelly File" host was similarly punctuated by the b-word [Aug 24, 2015].
The rivalry was restarted Tuesday night after the real estate mogul announced through his campaign manager, Corey Lewandowski, that he would not be participating in Thursday's Republican debate, which is slated to air on Fox News.
In a pre-rally press conference in Iowa City, Iowa, Trump referred to Kelly as a "lightweight" and a "third-rate reporter," and suggested he would be sitting out the debate in favor of a charity event for the Wounded Warrior Project.
Kelly quickly responded on her show by declaring that she would not step down as moderator.
Her network soon followed suit with their own response, accusing Lewandowski of threatening Kelly, and vowing to not to give into "terrorizations."
I’ve been shaking my head in disbelief at the pearl clutchers on FR. Sadly, they resemble nothing so much as a cargo cult.
There have been more Republican (prime time weeknight) debates than the three Saturday Democrat debates where Hillary didn’t want anyone to see them.
I think 4 or 5 in the bag debates are plenty to make up one’s mind for Iowa and NH.
And agree it was stupid and juvenile, and I don't blame Trump for responding to it.
But.
I was just pointing out something I have noticed.
When Trump attacks someone I dont “hate” to begin with, even when the attacks are justified (as in the case of this tweet). The attacks sort of diminish him in my eyes.
Quit whining. The front page posts aren’t the result of a conspiracy; it’s a measure of how popular the threads are. Maybe Cruz articles would stick around longer on the front page if your friends didn’t post Trump-hating bile like it was going out of style.
And that just shows exactly how almost no one is excited about Cruz. And why should they be? He’s nothing more than a me-too candidate at this point who’s trying to use religion to manipulate people into voting for him.
If Cruz wanted this kind of attention, he’d have been leading the charge against illegal immigration and media bias from the very beginning. He had the field to himself for a good while; he could have gotten out in front and been a leader.
Instead, he’s riding the Don’s coattails and can’t even bring himself to say the word ‘deport.’

There’s something fishy about Donald Trump’s charitable donations
Fishy, how did ole bammy turn out there?
I’m guessing that the question is whether the attacks are accurate or not.
I don’t like it when flaws are pointed out in someone I like. But that doesn’t mean that the flaws aren’t there. Sometimes a trumpet blast to the face is the only way to get anyone’s attention.
>> Trump’s petty behavior is beneath the dignity of the office. <<
Not to worry, my FRiend, not to worry:
The Donald assured us yesterday that after he is elected, he will be so diplomatic, so polite, so PC that it will make your head spin. His presidential dignity, as he reaches out to Pelosi and Putin, will be yuuuge!
In other words, the Anointed One admits that his current bluster and bombast are merely parts of a skilled act, meant to deceive the legions of suckers who hunger for snake oil. Once in office, he says he’ll make nice with the leaders of the American Left as well as the worldwide enemies of Liberty.
In the meantime, the cult followers march joyfully along behind their Pied Piper, never suspecting how Dear Leader Trump is inwardly chuckling at the naivete and gullibility of those who now worship his every utterance.
“She looks more like a dyke these days.”
I think you are better off working out your issues with a therapist. Your comments add no value to the thread.
Ahem.
WAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHH!
Your candidate is losing and all you can do is kvetch.
That is all.
I have called a person a name or 2 in my life. I am no saint. :)
Not with a large audience.
Certainly not on the national level while running for POTUS.
I find it beneath the dignity of the office. But that’s just me.
Being petty is not the same as fighting. And if Trump is at war with Megyn Kelly, he’s focused on the wrong enemy.
Exactly!
I pretty much call Elisabeth Dole a filthy bitch every time she comes up in public or in private.
Some times it’s the right thing to do.
Whether I support another candidate’s positions or not, no other candidates in the field have Trump’s 6th grade mentality
“If he doesnât have a landslide victory in Iowa, maybe Dear Leader Trump will tell us how stupid the Iowa voters are.”
Except he has already done that.
ââHow stupid are the people of Iowa?ââ - Donald Trump 11/13/2015
I agree.
Here's my situation. I believe that Kelly has behaved VERY POORLY and unprofessionally in this whole matter. From the original “war on women” attack in the 1st debate to this juvenile tweet war now.
BUT, the fact remains, I still kind of like her in spite of those actions.
Now I don't mind Trump defending himself when attacked, in fact, I expect him too. But he has to be careful that he doesn't diminish himself in the process of defending himself. When a child attacks you, it's best to respond in an adult manner in other words.
On the other hand his rather childish attacks actually work extremely well against pompous idiots that I already hate to begin with like Bush.
Another reason not to vote for Trump...the name calling. This man has the maturity of a 7 year old. I’m not willing to trust a 7 year in a 69 years olds body.
It’s a little late for this. He’s already called her a bimbo:

I certainly won’t take issue with it until you run for POTUS. We can hash it out then. :)
