Donald Trump wasted no time Wednesday morning fanning the flames of his newly reignited feud with Fox News star Megyn Kelly.
"I refuse to call Megyn Kelly a bimbo, because that would not be politically correct," the Republican presidential front-runner said in an early morning tweet. "Instead I will only call her a lightweight reporter!"
Trump has taken issue with Kelly since the two faced off in last summer's Fox News debate - the first Republican debate of the 2016 election cycle.
Trump's last throw down with "The Kelly File" host was similarly punctuated by the b-word [Aug 24, 2015].
The rivalry was restarted Tuesday night after the real estate mogul announced through his campaign manager, Corey Lewandowski, that he would not be participating in Thursday's Republican debate, which is slated to air on Fox News.
In a pre-rally press conference in Iowa City, Iowa, Trump referred to Kelly as a "lightweight" and a "third-rate reporter," and suggested he would be sitting out the debate in favor of a charity event for the Wounded Warrior Project.
Kelly quickly responded on her show by declaring that she would not step down as moderator.
Her network soon followed suit with their own response, accusing Lewandowski of threatening Kelly, and vowing to not to give into "terrorizations."

I just watched his interview with Bret Baier last night. As I said on another thread, “Big boy questions. Big boy anwers.” A good interview on both sides.
But he can’t give up the childish name calling. Again, it is the type of behavior I would accept from my own kids or grandkids. I doubt Trump would accept it from his kids. Why should I accept it from him?

Trump countered by calling Kelly a bimbo. He took it to grade school insults rather than pointing out that Fox made an agregious error in posting something snarky.
He keeps saying Kelly is a lightweight. Then take on the lightweight at the debates! He is supposedly the better man; much smarter, much richer. He could easily handle this. What’s going to happen if he is President and Russia, China, North Korea, or another power is “Unfair” to him? Is he going to call them names and say “I’m not going to talk to them. They’re low energy, stupid bimbo’s.”. I can’t see that boding well for the US.
It appears he hasn't learned the subtle nuances of total capitulation that is the chief Republican trait. We have one of those annoying majorities in Congress, so we'll give the demons everything they want, nuances. It's OK though. I don’t see that happening at this point. Trump has slandered Cruz too much over the past week and a half. Calling him stupid. Saying no-one likes him. He is hated. Etc. I can’t see Cruz jumping on board at this point....
Hannity ended his show begging Trump to come to his senses, but skipped any mention of the press release set started all this.

Kelly opened her show with it. She was in a flop sweat. At that point she clearly though she had made Trump back down.
