After an insulting press release from FOX News, Donald Trump has announced that he will not be participating in the Iowa Fox News debate and instead will host a fundraiser for wounded warriors. Stefan Molyneux dissembles the media narrative around the latest Trump controversy, and turns a spotlight on the constant manipulation.
After fox gave out that insulting statement, Trump would have looked weak if he had NOT refused to be a part of the debate. Fox was playing power on Trump and if he had just let it go, they would have thought they had got him and the debate would have been one hard hit after another on Trump. They have tried and tried... the debate would have been all out against Trump.
Bret set it up on his 6 oclock news.. he showed little respect to Trump.. if Fox is your boss, you’d better toe the line. One of these days, Trump will be the Commander in Chief.. and you media folks are the reason.

This is, without a doubt, the most interesting Presidential election in my lifetime.
Trump has been planning this since the first go round with Kelly. All her prep work and gotcha questions are down the drain.
Plus, Trump just stuck it to the entire field. Ratings will be way down and people tuning in won’t last long.
And all week leading up to Iowa, everyone will be talking about Trump instead of the dwarfs...again.
the rest of the candidates have been whining for 6 months that Trump was getting all the airtime and it wasn’t fair..
now they are whining because he is giving them two hours of free time (they have been begging for without him being in the room) and you guessed it they will be talking about Trump for a good part of it—

I can understand Trump not wanting to debate. What good does it do him? He doesn’t stand to gain anything in the debate (we all have seen how horrible he preforms) and his followers will still follow him no matter if he shoots the other candidates on main street after the debate.

Nope, it’s more like Trump removed his 1st-string quarterback from the game because he has already run up the score after clinching a playoff spot, removing him from any risk of injury so he can play in the post-season.
If you went back to 2014 and looked at the anticipated scenario....there would be strictly Hillary and Jeb....easily winning.
I think the Bernie scenario where he might actually win twenty states and the possible criminal charges against Hillary make the Democrat season very interesting.
An entire Republican book could be written over Jeb’s decline, and how sixteen-odd characters in the running just never looked realistic.
Toss in the fact that some Democrats are now talking of crossing the line to vote for Trump....and Scott Walkers brief campaign folded when people were absolutely sure in 2014 of him being in the final three...well, it’s really a weird election.
Let us not forget....AZ is running a primary and McCain may actually lose the primary. That is also part of this weird year.
Why is FNC assigning to the upcoming debate the same moderators who were assigned to the previous debate? I would prefer to have had a different set of moderators, regardless of any specific issue about Megyn Kelly.
Contrary to what has been alleged, even by conservative commentators, Trump is not afraid of Kelly or of debating Ted Cruz. He is, instead, standing up to Roger Ailes. Which other presidential candidate would have had the strength and courage to stand up to one of the most powerful men in cable news and risk the negative consequences that FNC would be capable of directing toward him? I’m hoping that Trump schedules a competing event which his supporters can watch on TV instead of the debate—and that, because of Trump’s absence, the viewership ratings for the debate are substantially lower than before.
