OUTSTANDING, just like Reagan who also had to contend with hostile Democrats. But Reagan prevailed, as will Trump, with Reagan getting most of his priorities - tax cuts, deregulation, and the military build up, to name a few.

I’d HATE to elect an ideologue that might be right on many issues, but is unwilling (or unable) to work with the opposition to get stuff through Congress.

Only 5 days and a night left when Cruzers get their butt kicked in Iowa.

“Conservatives” generally cringe at this sort of thing because they know their candidate’s are sissies who will always bow to the Democrats.

With Trump, you know that any deal he makes will involve them bowing to him.

You sure take up a lot of space on this site posting the same stuff over, and over. Maybe do a search first before posting duplicate threads. Or maybe you just have “Altimeters” and your just forgetful as ya get up in age. I suggest seeing a doctor post haste!
Go Trump

Mika Swooned this morning when Don said he would work with Dems, on her MSNBC Morning Joe show.

Joe is equally in love with him. Trump is regular on that show unlike that mean Megyn Kelly.

And Chris Matthews tonight says that no-one will tune into the FNC hosted GOP debate Thursday wo Trump, that Trump is the draw.

And Rudy just picked Trump over Cruz as Bob Dole did.

Mika, Joe, Matthews, Rudy and Dole.

Who can argue with them?

I sure wish this Trumper Tantrum had happened after Iowa. I was hoping for him to thin the herd and then flame out.

Let me help those without the time or patience to read this long and fascinating discussion. HERE IS THE KEY:

RUSH: “They want him to skunk ‘em like he’s talking about winning everything else he’s doing in his deal-making and negotiating, and it includes Democrats. It includes beating Democrats. It includes winning over the Democrats, not just the Iranians, and not just Putin, and not just the ChiComs. It includes winning over the Democrats, beating the Democrats.”

ME AGAIN: Trump knows you have to engage in negotiations in order to win. They are not going to just fold their hands and go home. That’s the underlying point in saying he can “get along” with Pelosi, or Putin or anybody else. On the other hand, he doesn’t deign to waste time arguing with journalists who have nothing to offer in return. (He doesn’t need their air time anymore.)

Yup. That Trump. He sure is going to destroy the establishment and the democrats. He’ll sell out his supporters in the name of “cutting a deal” with the democrats, leaving us even worse off than we are now under folks such as McConnell and (before he left) Boehner.

Anyone remember Schwarzenegger? He was going to take it to the democrats in California? Well, he ended up cutting lots of deals with them as well. How’d that work out?

Somewhere along the line, this increasing animosity and mindless worship of one candidate, no matter which it be, is going to silently poison freeper against freeper. It isn’t going to end well.

Not one of Rush's best offerings.

Trump walking away from the debate illustrates two points:

---It's not just gorilla dust...he walked away. No way wouldn't be there, everyone said...

We worried about the McCains and the Romneys reaching across the aisle because we knew they would give away the store. (See: Paul Ryan.)

----As Trump has said repeatedly: sometimes the best deals are the ones you don't make. Is there any doubt of Trump's willingness to walk away from a bad deal?
