Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump is stressing his bona fides as a dealmaker who'd be able to enter the White House and work with congressional Democrats to hammer out agreements.
"I think I'm going to be able to get along with Pelosi â I've always had a good relationship with Nancy Pelosi," Trump said Tuesday on MSNBC's "Morning Joe," referring to the House minority leader.
"Reid's going to be gone. I've always had a decent relationship with Reid," Trump said, referring to Harry Reid (D-Nev.), the Senate minority leader. "I always had a great relationship with Harry Reid."
Trump said he thought he'd get along with "just about everybody," including Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.), likely to be the next Senate Democratic leader, who Trump said he was "close to ... in many in ways."
Attagirl.
Duck the question.
No courage.
Have more than you. You are asking me to discuss something i am not very familiar with and don’t give a hott or a holler about. So, stuff it!
Try to gather YOUR brain cells and tell me why I should be interested in Terry McAuliffe when he has absolutely no effect on my life! I spent many times your ten or so hours working for Rick Scott. Evidently my guy won and yours lost, although I did like Cuccinelli from what I heard about him. I was also heavily involved in Allen West’s campaign. Lost that one to suspicious tampering. Again, my hours were far in excess of ten.So what does it prove? Nothing.
McAuliffe is YOUR governor, not mine. He is YOUR problem not mine. Got that?
No research.. No curiosity as to why Trump supported him.. no concern... just blind followership because... well, just because.
And therein lies the problem.
Again.. thank you for proving my point.
Yeah, with the bogus birther issue. Trump promised and never delivered. It was the same bluster, big talk, wild hyperbole, and when it was all over. Poof. Nothing. Nada. Zilch. Sure he won converts to his cult, but at the end of the day he was just plain distracting and foolish, as he so often is.
Why should you NOT be interested in why a purported conservative would go in that direction. If you can’t address that, how do you possibly know what you’re supporting?
He went after them with his donations. But hey, one thing is kind of cool about Trump. If he wins, he’ll be able to sell nude photos of his third wife and help pay off the deficit.
Trump is a covert Democrat.
And by the way... I’m in total agreement about Allen West being screwed over.
:-)
Good! :)
I have far too many pressures on my time to be interested in a Virginia governor. I accept that Trump contributed to several different campaigns of both parties. So what! It’s not against the law and many others do it. If you don’t like McAuliffe continue to work against him as I have done against Bush in this campaign. We have succeeded in quelling the Bush people in Florida. It has been hard work. But we are winning. YOU worry about McAuliffe.
Go ahead and keep score if that amuses you. When Trump DOES accomplish things FOR America instead of selling her down the tubes as has been going on for ages by the politicians only interested in lining their own pockets, I will expect a full apology from you.
You are not thinking deeply enough yet if you dare to insinuate that I am not an Originalist.
(All genuine arguments aside, I am fascinated by this irony: Americans twice elected a Marxist who has apparently never been a citizen of any countries except Kenya and Indonesia--essentially ignoring the Constitutional protection that our Framers intended. Now, confused conservatives are trying to block the Presidency of a solid and Constitutionally zealous patriot who has been an American citizen from his very birth.
The crowning irony is that I think the Framers would be appalled to see how many supposed conservatives are supporting Trump over Cruz.)
You said he never went after democrats and I’ve proven you wrong. Speaking of converts to a cult, how’s that Beck endorcement going?
If you don’t support Vattel, you cannot claim to be an Originalist.
Cruz is not a Conservative and his votes prove it. So between a NOT conservative foreigner, and a not too conservative businessman who is an outstanding success, I’ll take the businessman whose instincts are more AMERICAN than his opposition. I’m sick of voting for conservative politicians and losing!
Fortunately the governor’s position is term limited to one four-year term.
Secretariat is before my time.
So, all the other candidates are unacceptable, because they sold out to the Dems and RINOs, except for Ted Cruz, who is unacceptable because he won’t work with the Dems and RINOs. We need this “proven winner”, whose “conversion” to conservatism is even more recent than Mitt Romney’s, to work with the Dems and RINOs. Got it.
Then you should NEVER vote for a politician who has EVER lavished praise on Obama and Hillary as great American leaders and then styled himself as more-or-less conservative. If Trump is a solid patriot with great ideas, how come he could not spot these unprecedented, anti-American monsters from the start?
Trump is WAY more flawed than you have noticed. His flaws are politically fatal IMHO.
It's all about winning with you guys and nothing more. No principles, no respect for the Founders, no belief in the Constitution or the Republic. Just "winning."
"For what profit it thus a man, though he gain the whole world, but lose his soul?"
Great post. (Some FReepers, unfortunately, won’t understand it—because they are not the American stalwarts they think they are.)
