Two nasty guys, what can go wrong?
They need Sessions in the Senate. On the other hand, Sessions is 69 and might be ready for retirement so this may be a great way to go out. If it happens hopefully they will get somebody younger and conservative.
Who is the governor of Alabama, this is who would appoint the replacement!!! JERRY FAWELL JUST ENDORSED TRUMP!!!!!
Oh and you know it’s going to happen!
Just need to get the formalities out of the way.
“The more I read about Sessions the more I believe he will be a near perfect VP pick for Trump.”
Wow! That certainly would have the potential to placate a whole lot of disgruntled anti-Trumpers, unless of course they treat Sessions the same as they did Palin.
Rush just mentioned that the whispers are its Sessions.
That would be yuuuge. Nobody likes Cruz and this would be a huge indictment of him. Jerry Falwell Jr. just endorsed Trump. Wonder if that was the endorsement or if there is another coming?
Rush said a little while ago there is a whisper going around that Sessions is going to endorse Trump.
Donald Trump is now endorsing Donald Trump for President. Featured story to follow
It’s Hillary’s pantsuit!!!
Falwell's that ends well - tee hee!

Pull my finger.
Is Jerry Falwell, Jr., some kind of political genius or power broker? I respected his father though I am Catholic and Liberty University apparently does a very fine job of educating its students and holding them to moral standards which is a rare jewel of a university president in this terrible day and age. Jerry Falwell, Jr., may make his mark but inheriting the presidency of Liberty University is not a substitute for being blooded in political battle.
I think he is trying to earn those spurs by helping Trump and maybe he will but he is not yet a major force. That said, he too is certainly entitled to choose a candidate who, in his judgment, will do best for the USA. I may initially disagree as to that choice but I don't disagree with his right to make it and to defend that choice in the public square. We need more conservative university and college presidents like him who have the guts to stand up for this country and its people. Give him credit for trying hard. Maybe he will succeed. May God bless him in any event and may God bless you and yours!
I disagree with them this year on POTUS. That does NOT mean that I disrespect any of them or that I ever will or could. No matter who Trump might choose for Veep, I remain unconvinced as to Trump on several issues like the babies, marriage, judicial appointments. I need to see specifics on those and other issues such as he has already provided on immigration, guns and a few other issues. We have been burned soooooo many times. Trump is a rookie with little political track record if we disregard his political contributions as a cost of doing business in the real world.
What I DO NOT WANT to hear is some form of: Elect me and trust me and my decisions. Depending on your point of view we have just finished 7 or even 27 years of that and it has NOT worked. My last real POTUS was Ronaldus Maximus. No one has to be a new Ronald Reagan. There are none on the horizon. There also won't be another Mother Teresa of Calcutta, another St. Padre Pio, another Pope St. John Paul II. Instead, in the leadership of my Church and the leadership of my country, I believe that God will raise up new and somewhat different people who will take on the responsibility and we need them soo.
Not to be a nitpicker BUT isn't the proper Latin: CarthAgo delenda est (Carthage must be destroyed) as Cato the Elder said finishing his speeches in the Roman Senate and instigating the Third Punic War which utterly destroyed Carthage itself and killed or enslaved all of its people.
Thank you so much for your VERY KIND RESPONSE, I know you are a Cruz supporter but your response to me was out of the ordinary, I wish all FREEPERS could treat each other with such kindness God Bless you and yours also!!!
I learned this morning that Alabama Governor Bennett has endorsed John Kasich for POTUS. Maybe because Kasich is a fellow governor? But Scott Walker is the best governor I have ever witnessed (I live six miles south of Wisconsin and rather close to the Wisconsin state capitol known around here as The People's Republic of Madison) and better even than Reagan was in California. Bobby Jindal, Mike Huckabee, Jeb Bush, George Pataki were all fellow governors of varying degrees of soundness and unsoundness but Bennett chose Kasich.
What distinguishes Kasich? He is governor of an important swing state but no more likely to fight for OUR agenda than McConnell, Boehner, Ryan-o and the usual gang of Congressional "leadership" sellouts. In fact, he has degenerated into a militant moderate mushhead.
I also harbor, without much evidence, the belief that Kasich was an important part of the palace coup against Newt Gingrich who was purged for his virtues and not for his sins. That brilliance wound up giving us child molester Denny Hastert, another moderate mushball only slightly better than Boehner, Cantor and Ryan-o.
In short, I don't want Bennett to be naming a US Senator. I cannot trust the man. If Cruz were to be nominated and elected POTUS, I have no doubt that Texas's new governor Greg Abbott would appoint a very fine successor such as his LT. Governor Dan Patrick who finished the job that Ted Cruz started by defeating the powerful and uber wealthy long time incumbent Establishmentarian David Dewhurst who was now running for re-election to Lt. Governor after being soundly beaten by Cruz for the Senate nomination.
If Americans in Texas could dispatch their Speaker of the House, a quisling named Joe Straus, Texas would be even more the envy of the nation. Maybe if Tom Delay would seek a state legislative seat, he could raise the money and inspire the confidence to depose Straus. This whore is running for re-election to the Texas House from a district in and near San Antonio that he has held since 2005 and he has a warchest of $8 million for any primary or election as to his mere State Rep seat. That amount of $$$$$ probably did not come from lemonade stands, bake sales and car washes. Who owns Straus?
Whoever owns him, he needs also to lose his primary or his re-election. Unfortunately, there are TWO opponents, both apparently Evangelical Christians and others in the District have attacked Straus in the past because he is Jewish and not representative of "their values." I give them credit for sincerity but that is the LAST tactic to use because it alienates many voters who might vote against Straus on the merits and there are plenty of reasons to do that instead. He typically gets 60% and a bit more in such primaries. Better one skilled opponent, a natural born diplomat with rock solid conservatism and campaign discipline.
If the primary fails, run a similar candidate of conservative values as an independent conservative in the general and attack both Straus and the Demonrat on the basis that there is little relevant difference and take enough votes to elect the Demonrat candidate. With Straus defeated, the seat can be reclaimed by an actual Republican in two years.
For further info on Straus, check out the Wikipedia article on him. It is an eye opener.
God bless!
May God Bless you and yours also!!! Thank you, you have given me ALOT of information I was not aware of !!! Greg Abbott is a GREAT governor I thought Perry was one of the best, but Abbott there are no words to express how BLESSED Texas is to have him!!! I don’t believe there is ONE other governor out there that compares!!!!!
